Fun New Mario Games Coming

For the first time in my life, I own a Nintendo console. So when they announce new Nintendo games, I can get excited! And the pair of new Mario games they announced yesterday have me excited. I like Mario games as much as the next person.

First up is Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which is a new 2D Mario game with all sorts of new mechanics.

Looks neat! Who doesn’t love a classic Mario game? And new elements? Sure! Elephant power-up? Yeah, why not. Looks all manner of fun. And it comes out in October.

Next up is a remake of Super Mario RPG, a classic game that I never played.

Everybody is always raving about Super Mario RPG being one of the greatest of all time. I never owned a Super Nintendo. I’ve never played this game. I have some memories of magazine ads about the game, some characters I’ve seen. Welp, now I’ll get to play it for real! Lucky me.

Super Mario RPG comes out in November.

Look, I know what you’re going to say. But I’ve given this a lot of thought and I have, like, six really good reasons why I should load up BestBuy.com and order a brand, spanking new Nintendo Switch video game console. And a couple games. Granted, as I’m writing this, it’s currently sold out, but it wasn’t sold out a couple days ago, which means it’ll be in stock again someday. And I should buy one. Yep. For the full $300, plus a couple games. Trust me on this.

In fact, join me after the jump for all the very good, well-thought-out reasons why I should buy a Nintendo Switch while self-isolating at home.
