Just a Metric Ton of Rando Movie Trailers
I’m tired, boss. It’s been a week, let me tell you, and it’s only going to get worse over the next few days. So no List of Six this week. Maybe comic reviews. We’ll see. And for this middle of the week, I’m just gonna drop a bunch of random movie trailers that came out in the past few days. I don’t know what’s happening, but these are really, really random movies.
Let’s start with the most random (and that’s saying something!) Bando Stone and The New World with Donald Glover! This one is pretty wild and awesome.
It’s so nifty looking! Donald Glover at his weird and wild best, in a truly interesting premise. The effects also look pretty damn insane. Very creative, very inventive, and that could really make the movie.
Bando Stone and The New World…apparently currently has no release date. Huh. Oh well.
Next up is Red One, wherein the Rock and Chris Evans do a Taken with Santa Claus.
Honestly, this one looks fun. It’s probably gonna be ridiculous, but the same could have been said about Violent Night, and I loved that movie! That was Die Hard and Santa Claus. So I’m definitely willing to give this one a chance.
Red One comes to theaters on November 15! Theatres? Not Netflix? Interesting.
Third up is the trailer for Jackpot, in which John Cena and Awkwafina (that rhymed!) do a silly, R-rated action comedy. I love both of them, so I’m down!
And Simu Liu! Wonderful! I’m so glad to see him still getting work. I want that dude’s career to explode! And I want to see Shang Chi 2 sooner rather than later. But for now, I’ll settle for Jackpot, which comes to Amazon Prime Aug. 15.
Next is another trailer for the movie Trap, which is an M. Night Shyamalan movie.
And starring everybody’s forgotten Hollywood dreamboat, Josh Hartnett. Guess he’s back for good. Looks spooky. And the trailer doesn’t give the twist away, if you’re worried about that. Just looks like a solidly spooky horror film. Good times.
Trap comes to theaters on Aug. 2.
Lastly, we have Hellboy: The Crooked Man, what appears to be a fanmade Hellboy movie given realish studio power. If you can call Ketchup Entertainment a real studio.
I don’t even know about this. I guess Mike Mignola himself, along with author Christopher Golden, wrote this movie, so that’s something. But otherwise, this looks almost pathetic. But it also looks…maybe interesting? Seems to be a really spooky movie that just happens to throw Hellboy in as our protagonist. That could be fun! And if made cheaply, maybe we get a bunch of low key Hellboy movies?
I guess we’ll see when Hellboy: The Crooked man comes to theaters(?) sometime this year.
And that’s it! Those are all the movies! Or at least all of the trailers I saved and wanted to share. Probably a bunch more rando movie trailers in the world at the moment. But these will have to do for now!

Knock at the Cabin Looks Spooky and Cool
The next M. Night Shyamalan movie is Knock at the Cabin, a spooky film where a bunch of seemingly crazy people threaten a family in order to save the world. I know Shyamalan movies aren’t so much hype anymore. But Knock at the Cabin could be darn good. This trailer looks great, at least.
The first trailer was good, but I really enjoyed how this trailer fleshed the story out more. I might actually end up going to see this one in theaters. We shall see.
Knock at the Cabin comes out on Feb. 3.

New Spooky Movie in Knock at the Cabin
Director M. Night Shyamalan is back with a new spooky movie: Knock at the Cabin. There’s a new trailer and it is sufficiently spooky, with Dave Bautista in the lead role.
Everything looks good to me! What could the mystery be? What could the twist be? I am very tempted to find out. But that means I’ll have to wait until February to find out! That’s when Knock at the Cabin comes to theaters. Not a great sign, but it’s always fun to have something to watch in February.
Wait…was that…Rupert Grint?

Glass is the Unbreakable Sequel We’ve All Been Waiting For
I was a big fan of M. Night Shyamalan’s early work, including his superhero film, Unbreakable. Like the rest of America, I stopped watching his films at some point…but he’s back, baby! Unbreakable 2 is right around the corner!
More precisely, that’s the trailer for Glass, the threequel that will unite Unbreakable with Split. I haven’t seen Split, yet, but it’s on my list to scarf down ahead of Glass. It looks damn cool!

Signs Remains My Favorite M. Night Shyamalan Movie
But let’s tear it apart anyway with Cinema Sins!
That was a good video, but honestly, is it really a sin when the movie is doing exactly what it’s meant to do? The whole point of the film is that all of these coincidences come together in the finale for victory, and foreshadowing these coincidences is what makes them work. Is it really a cinema sin to use foreshadowing in your film? Don’t we want things like foreshadowing in our movies?
Once upon a time, Signs was my favorite movie. I saw it in theaters with my brother and loved it! Though I haven’t watched it in probably a decade…
