Hal Jordan Goes Sinestro Corps in New Injustice Story Trailer
Injustice: Gods Among Us is hitting us with all sorts of trailers recently, even though none of them reveal Robin to be in the game. However, this new trailer gives us a peek at the story and confirmation that Hawkgirl will probably be a character, and that Green Lantern is going to get his hands on a yellow ring at some point.
That actually looks pretty damn cool. DC superheroes in a police state, Batman a fugitive in a world where Superman and Wonder Woman rule with an iron fist. I’m starting to think that the story is going to be far better than the mediocre Mortal Kombat-lite fighting game.
New Injustice Video Game Trailer; Still No Robin
Hey guys, it’s going to be a slightly slow week. I had a death in the family and went out to attend the services, so everything’s a little backed up. I’m gonna try to get the Hench-Sized Reviews done on time Saturday, but they may be pushed back until Sunday. Until then, enjoy this fun little trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us. They reveal Lex Luthor as a playable character, but still no Robin. The bastards.
Also, certain nerd movie sources are claiming that the Justice League movie will feature a cast of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash, with possible cameos by Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. That’s almost exactly what I predicted. So go me!
Deathstroke Joins Injustice: Gods Among Us
But still no sign of Robin.
I’m gonna bring this up everybody they introduce a new character to the lineup of Injustice: Gods Among Us. Why isn’t Robin in this game yet? Batman vs. Robin would be the ultimate fight! Do they simply not want to have to create a smaller male body model in the game? Is it laziness? Yeah, it’s probably laziness. Lazy bastards.
Still, Deathstroke could be fun. He’s got a lot of weapons. And I’m surprised at how many bullets to the face Green Arrow can take. That guy is a trooper.
Green Arrow for Injustice Game – Still No Robin
The makers of Injustice: Gods Among Us continue to reveal their fighters at an agonizingly slow pace. The latest is Green Arrow.
The game comes out in April, so I suppose the developers still have plenty of time. But can you really tell me that they don’t, at this point, already know all the fighters who are going to be in their game? I guess I’m just being impatient. As long as they let these reveals trickle out like they are, they’ll continue to grab headlines on geek sites.
The previewed box art has also revealed Green Lantern and Joker – but they were kind of obvious choices.
But I just want to know if the game is going to feature Robin! And I’ll keep saying this in the hopes that one of the developers reads my blog, but what would be a cooler match up in this type of game than Batman vs. Robin? The teacher vs. the student! It’s classic! Nightwing is in the game, sure, but he’s not Robin anymore. People know Robin. People know the Dynamic Duo that is Batman and Robin. A fight between the two of them still holds a lot of oomph behind it!
So make it happen, NetherRealm! Don’t make me tell you again!
Also, speaking of Green Arrow, look for my review of the first episode of Arrow later today or this weekend.
Catwoman Fights Injustice, Still No Word on Robin
Does everybody remember the upcoming DC fighting game called Injustice: Gods Among Us? It’s still coming out, and the addition of Catwoman to the roster apparently deserves its own unique game trailer. I’m not all that impressed by what I’ve seen so far. It looks like your standard Mortal Kombat-style fighter, only loaded with gimmicks like interactive environments. When game developers crow about how awesome their gimmicks are, that’s usually a good sign that gameplay itself is going to be crummy
But at least they’re only using DC characters this time instead of making an awkward crossover with Mortal Kombat. Or that one time Marvel invented a whole new slew of characters called the Imperfects rather than just have Marvel characters fighting each other.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is due to be released sometime next year. The roster of playable characters that we know so far are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Cyborg, Nightwing and now Catwoman. There are supposed to be many more characters yet to be revealed, and I’m paying as close attention as I can to whether or not they include Robin on that roster. They have Nightwing, but I want Robin himself.
Because c’mon, people, let’s be serious here: how cool would it be to have a Batman vs. Robin fight? Why would you pass up on this opportunity when developing such a game? You want people to be invested in your fights, right? Can you imagine a more emotional, meaningful fight than Batman vs. Robin?
