6 Potential Futures for the BOOM! Power Rangers Comics
We got the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad news this week that BOOM! Studios is bringing an end to their 8 years of awesome Power Rangers comics. I was a big fan of the Power Rangers when I was a kid, and I think this has been one of the most consistently entertaining comic books of the past decade. It rarely wavered in greatness. So it’s sad to see the whole thing come to an end.
If it really is the end. Personally, I don’t think that’s the case. All we’ve gotten so far about this ending comes from solicitations, and that stuff is specifically written to be teasing and advertisy. And the announcement came paired with a promise of bigger announcements in the future. So something is happening and I highly doubt it’s a full cancellation of all things Power Rangers at BOOM! So I’ve put my speculator hat on and have come up with six possibilities for what’s next for Power Rangers comics!
Join me after the jump to see what I think is going to happen to the Power Rangers in the funny books.

Jeez! I’m sorry this is so late! I had to work this morning. Otherwise we’re back with more comic book reviews! Just like last week, a bunch of my favorite comics came out this week and I didn’t want to leave my reviews of them in the dust. So I read some good comics and I’m prepared to talk about some good comics, like the end of Duke and some more Ultimate Spider-Man.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #119 for getting the Darkest Hour train back on the tracks, just in time to announce the end of the series.
Meanwhile, I finally started playing God of War: Ragnarok after getting it for free with my Playstation 5 several years ago. It’s pretty much exactly what I expected, and that’s pretty nice. Beyond that, I also finally built the Optimus Prime LEGO set I bought several years ago. That was super fun as well.
Comic Reviews: Duke #5, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #119, and Ultimate Spider-Man #4.

We’re in February, everybody! And that’s a big month for me! If you haven’t seen the news yet, my own self-published comic, Gamer Girl & Vixen, is returning to Kickstarter for our sequel graphic novel! So go sign up for the Feb. 12 launch! And then read my reviews this week for comics like Avengers Twilight and Duke!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Power Rangers Unlimited for a nicely personal spin-off story starring the Rangers Slayer.
Meanwhile, I’m slowly working my way through Super Mario Bros. Wonder. I splurged on that game before Christmas, and who doesn’t love a good, classic Mario game? And I’m watching some AppleTV+ again. Hijack starring Idris Elba is a real delight so far!
Comic Reviews: Avengers: Twilight: Book Two, Duke #2 and Power Rangers Unlimited: The Morphin Masters.

Welp, here we are at the end of January. The month just flew by, and February promises to be rather exciting for yours truly. I will announce more when I can, don’t want to jump the gun. Let’s just say this is gonna be a good year for your ole pal Henchie and making comics.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #116 for actually taking me by surprise.
Meanwhile, I have cast aside the madness that was Project Zomboid and now I’m settling into Super Mario Wonder. I splurged on that game before Christmas but then got distracted. So hopefully I’ll have fun with that. Also, I just finished the second season of The Bear and I wish I’d watched it sooner because it definitely would have made my year-end list for favorite TV show. Hot damn that was good television!
Comic Reviews: G.O.D.S. #4 and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #116.

Happy New Year, everyone! In a few short nights, it’ll be 2024, and we can all keep moving on with our lives. Thankfully, we’ve got some solid, enjoyable enough comics to end the current year with, like Power Rangers and She-Hulk.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Duke #1 for an exciting and fun start to the new G.I. Joe comics in the Energon Universe. No Snake Eyes yet, though. Hopefully they’re saving him for some thing good.
Meanwhile, I had a great Christmas with the family! Met the new baby. Got some great presents, some great comics to read. My brother’s housemate got me an air fryer! That should be fun. And it was a pleasure, as always, to see family. Good time was had by all. No plans for New Year’s Eve, though. Probably just video games and movies. Currently enjoying the second season of Marvel’s What If…?
Comic Reviews: Duke #1, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #115 and Sensational She-Hulk #3
