First Official Sneak Peek at Avengers: Age of Ultron

Entertainment Weekly continues to be a magazine in circulation, and they have landed the first official look at Avengers 2: Age of Ultron! I used to love that magazine in high school in the swinging late 90s. So good for them at this pretty awesome scoop. Check out this cover, with our first real look at Ultron himself!

He looks pretty gnarly. And Captain America and Iron Man look pretty cool too.

You can check out an early sneak peek at the Avengers 2 interview at their website. It gives a lot of details on the plot, so be careful of spoilers, and talks about a few of the new characters. You can check out a few pictures by clicking here, including an official look at Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, as well as a possible surprise superhero cameo. Or you can just wait for the actual magazine, because people still apparently buy those. Right now, I’m legitimately considering it.

Josh Brolin to Fulfill Lifelong Goal of Obtaining the Infinity Gauntlet

Actor Josh Brolin’s lifelong goal of commanding the forces of time and space are about to come to fruition now that he will be playing Thanos the Mad Titan in both Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. There’s an extremely good chance that both appearances will be little more than cameos, especially the one in Avengers 2, but hopefully the all-mighty, all-knowing Death will accept both as tribute.

He is become Thanos, destroying of worlds

Many assumed Brolin’s role in The Goonies was his first attempt at gathering the legendary Infinity Gauntlet – what with the Soul Gem hidden among One-Eyed Willie’s treasure – but that attempt proved fruitless.

Maybe some big budget, Marvel blockbusters will finally see his grand scheme succeed.

Personally, I hope to see him conquer all. Brolin seems like a fine guy. Does anybody know if this will be voice acting or motion capture? Or…a lot of purple makeup?

Though how this will effect Jonah Hex 2 is anyone’s guess…

Just When We Thought Quicksilver Might Look Normal

Listen, moviemakers of the world, Quicksilver’s white hair is not that important of a character trait! I know he has white/silver hair in the comics, but there’s nothing about his character, his powers or his potential stories that require the white/silver hair in live action adaptations. Especially when it looks ridiculous!

None of the above is intrinsic to a live action adaptation

We already know that Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past is going to look hideous.

But for a brief moment, we thought Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron would look pretty cool. Remember those concept art pieces that Marvel debuted next week?

Well some shutterbugs at the official filming in Italy have snapped some live action pictures of actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Forget the Quicksilver concept art, because he looks nothing like the image, and instead looks really, really bogus. Mostly. I guess I still prefer this Avengers look to the X-Men version, but man, it’s harsh.

First Looks at Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch from Avengers: Age of Ultron!

Last night, ABC aired a special on upcoming Marvel movies, but I didn’t actually watch it because I had better things to do – namely finally catching up on that short-lived Green Lantern Animated Series. But the Internet is awash in all of the big news items revealed in that special, including the first looks at Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch from Avengers: Age of Ultron!

Otherwise known as Avengers 2: Superhero Boogaloo

I’ll save the pictures until after the jump in case you don’t want to get SPOILED. I think they look OK. I think they definitely look better than what FOX has planned for them in X-Men: Days of Future Past. So join me after the jump to check out the concept art for Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch!

Paul Bettany as the Vision? Alright, I’ll Buy It

The superhero movie rumor mill is grinding away today at full force, with news out of England that Paul Bettany will be playing the Vision in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Bettany, if you recall, has been the voice of Tony Stark’s computer/butler J.A.R.V.I.S. in all of the Iron Man movies, as well as the first Avengers. And the Vision is an android from the comics. So it would kind of make sense for the artificial intelligence to just upgrade into a robot body.

I can see the resemblance, especially in the eyes

Right now, this casting is all rumor, I think. It’s all over the Internet today, but Marvel hasn’t said anything concrete. It was reported in The Daily Mail, who said they saw Bettany undergoing some make up work on the set. Then it got confirmed by Variety. I don’t usually like to post these sorts of rumors, but it’s a slow news day, and I actually really like this idea.

Join me for more after the jump.
