6 Characters I Want to See in Deadpool & Wolverine
Deadpool & Wolverine is coming to theaters later this year, the only Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to come out in 2024. I’m very excited. The world is very excited. This movie promises to be the multiverse caper to end all multiverse capers! So I have some ideas I’d like to see.
We recently learned that actor Vinnie Jones turned down the offer to return as the Juggernaut from X-Men: The Last Stand. We already know there are some crazy cameos planned for this film, though I don’t want to spoil what I’ve heard in case you haven’t heard them too. But it got me thinking of cameos I’d like to see. I saw all of those X-Men movies and probably most other Marvel-adjacent films they might draw cameos from. So I’ve got together a list of all the cameos I’d like to see in Deadpool & Wolverine!

I’m feeling a tad under the weather today, though I’m holding out hope that I’m not really sick and it’s just a weird day. Still, it’s a Monday, and that means we all need some help getting through it. So how about this Tenacious D cover of the Britney Spears classic Hit Me Baby One More Time!
Did this song appear in Kung Fu Panda 4? I didn’t go see it. I’m sure I’ll watch it someday, but this fourquel didn’t strike me as anything worth bothering with, even though I love all the other Kung Fu Panda movies. Ah well, Jack Black and Kyle Gass rule and that’s all we need to know for this Monday going forward.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 3/9/24
I don’t know what’s happened, but work has been really busy lately. Your favorite blogger is being run ragged! But I made it through another week and am taking this week to really relax. Thankfully, I got to enjoy some nice comics this week, like Batman and Void Rivals.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Birds of Prey #7 for a confident and fun kick off to their next story.
Meanwhile, it’s the final few days to pre-order Gamer Girl & Vixen vol. 2: Tyrant Lizard Queen! Pop on over to the Kickstarter and order your copy today! I’m making comics! Beyond that, I’m looking to finally finish off Super Mario Bros. Wonder this weekend, and will be trying the free Mortal Kombat 1 play demo as well.

We got a new trailer yesterday for the upcoming Fallout TV show, and I like this trailer a lot better than the first one. This trailer really shows off the world and plot of Fallout, from the Vault Dweller stuff to the Brotherhood of Steel to so much more. This is a great-looking trailer for a great-looking show!
I love the look of this. All of the iconography is perfect. The mood is perfect. Walter Goggins is going to really bring it! I really like the transition of the Vault Dweller from beginning to end. Everything looks solid!
And awesome news: every single episode of Fallout will be available on the same day, when it launches on Amazon Prime on April 11!

Gamer Girl & Vixen Artist Spotlight: Andrea Rosales
We’ve hit the home stretch of the Gamer Girl & Vixen: Tyrant Lizard Queen and we’re on a role to do really well by the end! Can’t wait to to get to work finishing up this comic and putting it out this year! And I’ve saved the best artist profile for last!

Q. What led to you becoming an artist?
A. Drawing has always been a part of my life. I have fond memories of drawing as a kid and while I was good at academics and played different instruments, drawing was always the one consistent thing that I just kept at. Drawing has been a constant in my life and over the years I’ve loved learning about the various ways it can lead to such amazing, fantastical works of art in varying mediums from graphic design, book illustration, storyboards for film, concept design in animation, product design, etc. There are countless applications of art and realizing that it was an essential part of so many creative forms I was passionate about helped energize me and refocus my efforts into becoming a storytelling artist. I’ve learned much from many different disciplines I’ve studied and I read a lot so I try to apply what I learn into what I am creating.
Q. What do you see as your strengths as an artist?
A. I think my strengths lie in character acting, expressions and most recently I’ve been working a lot to improve my backgrounds. Backgrounds are another character in the stories you tell visually so I’ve been doing my best to put the work in to more fully show the worlds that the characters live in.
Q. What are your future goals as an artist?
A. My future goals include working in the YA book market. I want to create stories that inspire young readers to have pride in their roots, identity, to be brave and do what’s right even when it isn’t easy and to take chances on themselves.
