Fear the Wrath of Internet Mockery, Ninja Turtles!
Sadly, I’m not going to see the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie this weekend (or happily, depending on your point of view). I kind of want to see it, no matter how bad it’s going to be. But I’m on vacation this weekend, headed to Boston Comic-Con! That will, hopefully, be a lot more fun. And I’ll be able to talk a lot more about Comic-Con after the weekend. Until then, I’m going to milk the Ninja Turtles for more enjoyment!
Such as, Everything Wrong with the first Ninja Turtles movie courtesy of Cinema Sins!
Then we switch gears for an Honest Trailer of Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze!
As a kid, the sequel was my favorite, but it does not hold up very well. I think I watched both movies a few weeks ago, and the both were pretty alright.
As a bonus, we also have Everything Wrong with TMNT, a movie I actually saw in theaters. It was not my finest moment.
Before I leave you, how about I ask the most important question ever: Who is your favorite Ninja Turtle?
Mine is Leonardo. Boss.

Oh Universe, You So Adorable!
Just when DC Comics seems poised to continue to be terrible, they have to go and do something downright adorable! Apparently in November, they’re going to have some fun and make a bunch of LEGO variant covers.
DC may be generally terrible with stories, art, crossovers, character progression and everything else, at the very least, they’ve got some neat variant covers!
Well, unless you count those horribly sexist bombshell covers they had only a few months ago. Come to think of it, what’s with all the novelty variant covers? Isn’t there one for selfies coming out soon too? And September is that Future’s End theme month, with variant covers. What’s going on?
Are they…are they trying to distract us? Is that it?
Well…mission accomplished! I love LEGOs! You can check out a huge gallery of the covers over at Bleeding Cool! Yeehaw!

How Captain America: The Winter Soldier Should Have Ended
That bloopers video I posted yesterday got taken down from Youtube, which stinks. But the guys at How It Should Have Ended have given us this video instead!
When they stick to the point of the video, they do a splendid job (that Tony Stark scene at the end was awesome (at least if you remember the joke it’s referring to, which I do)). But man, they rely way way WAY too much on those Superman/Batman diner scenes. Stick to the actual movies you’re parodying. I’m kind of afraid of what they’re eventually going to do for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. I shutter to think.
6 Best Ninja Turtle Knock-Offs
After serious contemplation, I think my favorite cartoon growing up in the 80s was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There were a lot of cartoons to choose from, but the Turtles were my favorite. They were great characters, their show was just a lot of fun, and I loved the toyline, which had even more awesome mutants. I loved that there was this endless supply of funny, cool, and radical mutants to collect.
So I’m pretty excited to see the new live action Ninja Turtle movie, even if it threatens to be as soulless as Michael Bay’s Transformers.
But there’s a dark side to my love for the Turtles as well, and that is my love for all of their crappy knock-offs too. Like all successful franchises, the Ninja Turtles spawned more than their fair share of crappy rip-offs. But whereas other companies can’t steal the Transformers without being obvious, it wasn’t that hard to make an action cartoon about anthropomorphic animal superheroes.
Join me after the jump for the best (or crappiest, depending on your point of view) Ninja Turtle knock-offs!
