Some Only Leigh to Brighten Our Days
I’m going to level with you henchies: I’m on vacation, and man, is it easy to be lazy on vacation. I could be talking about the possible casting of Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad movie, or I could be grousing about the weird new origin for Doctor Doom in the new Fantastic Four movie, but I really don’t care. Those are pop culture concerns for another day! Me? I’m watching new Only Leigh cartoons!
Life is good. Don’t ever forget that.

All Other Sins Pale in Comparison to the Quicksilver Blunder
X-Men: Days of Future Past is a good X-Men flick, but it’s not perfect, as Cinema Sins will tell us. But really, there’s only one real blunder in the film: why the heck did the X-Men ditch Quicksilver after he proved himself to be incredibly useful?
Obviously, Quicksilver couldn’t come with them because he would have solved every single crisis in the movie in the blink of an eye. But why not come up with an explanation? Maybe he didn’t want to help the X-Men anymore, so he demanded that they let him go home? Nope, they just show them all parting ways, and that’s it.
Of course, we know now that Quicksilver was only in the film to stick it to Marvel, who put the character in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Apparently he was originally going to be Juggernaut. And yes, movie studios are that petty. Everybody and every thing is that petty.

The Warcraft Movie is Going to be Surprisingly Accurate!
Blizzcon went down this weekend, with the game company revealing some fancy new bits in their upcoming catalog of games. Blizzard also revealed the first look at some of the characters in the upcoming World of Warcraft movie – and they look kind of amazing! I don’t know what to expect with the Warcraft movie, but I’m a little nervous. Video game movies are hardly ever good, and something about a World of Warcraft film just feels…desperate. I don’t know, it’s hard to say, but I just don’t think we’re going to get the second coming of Lord of the Rings.
Maybe it’s not too good to be true
But whatever we get, the character designs look great, and the character descriptions sound incredible. The movie is going to follow the story of the First War, and they’re going to be pretty close to the original lore. Personally, I wish they’d gone with my idea of Thrall vs. Arthas, but maybe they’re saving that for the sequel.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 11/8/14
Welcome to my vacation, hencharinos! I get two weeks off a year, and right now I’m at the start of my second, luxuriating at home with zero responsibilities and 100 relaxation points. It’s great! I’m going to kick up my feet, read some good comics, play some video games and hopefully see Big Hero Six before too long. I hear it’s great!
Comics were a little light this week for some reason, and very DC heavy. We’ve got new issues of Gotham Academy and Axis, the latter of which is getting a little better. And Grayson is great and wins Comic Book of the Week!

Bee and PuppyCat Returns, Making the Day Worth Enjoying!
If you’re not familiar with the Internet web cartoon Bee and PuppyCat, then take a few minutes out of your Friday to watch the first episode: Part 1 and Part 2. It’s an adorable, silly, kind of insane cartoon about a wacky girl and her pet puppycat. It’s made by Natasha Allegri, who worked on Adventure Time, so expect Bee and PuppyCat to be a lot like Adventure Time.
And that’s definitely not a bad thing. Bee and PuppyCat is weird and adorable in equal measure, which is the secret of its success.
Well after that first two-parter, Allegri and her team had to put the cartoon on the backburner to raise some money to make more, and possibly publish some comics. Whatever they were doing apparently worked, because we’ve got two new episodes to enjoy! The animation style is a little different, but it’s still the same cartoon we know, love and giggle at.
