HISHE Goes the Extra Brick For LEGO Batman!
Those funny people at How It Should Have Ended are back again to give my lazy, sweltering Monday something funny to share. Seriously, though, it’s 90-degrees for, like, the second day in a row. I’m only human here!
Anyway, LEGO Batman!
That’s definitely going the extra mile! Using stop-motion LEGO animation to recreate and re-end the end to that movie? Brilliant! Good work, all you crazy people, you!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 6/10/17
Good news, everybody! My time is my own again and the bonus Wednesday is out of the way, so I’m back to buying and reading an entire pile of comics! But bad news, too! Because as has been the case with me and comics, all of my favorite comics come out in one week, and there’s no way I can get to them all.
So this week sees new issues of Amazing Spider-Man, Batman, Hawkeye and Nova! But I had to pass on new issues of Harley Quinn and Unstoppable Wasp, just for time! Fortunately, I made room for the Comic Book of the Week: Iceman #1! He’s my favorite
X-Man and he’s finally got a solid solo comic!
Speaking of comics I read but didn’t review, the new issue of Harley Quinn is pretty nifty! We learn the secret origin of Red Tool, even though I didn’t know he had a secret origin! I’m gonna do a write up on it next week in case you want the fully skinny.
Comic Reviews: Amazing Spider-Man #28, Batman #24, Hawkeye #7, Iceman #1 and Nova #7.
First Black Panther Trailer Has Some Kick To It!
The first trailer for the Black Panther movie arrived tonight, and it’s got a lot of energy to it! I dig that! This is a pretty cool and exciting trailer. I don’t think I’ve seen one this good since that stylish King Kong trailer a few months back. Those Spider-Man: Homecoming trailers didn’t excite like the Black Panther!
I never had any doubt that this would be an awesome movie. And all my pinks are tickled that Black Panther looks this damn good already!

Batman Did What?! (Or the Fluidity of Comic Book Permanence)
If you haven’t heard the news yet this week, the latest issue of Batman has a pretty massive, life-altering cliffhanger ending on the last page. It’s the sort of big, momentous event that could change the entire course of a character’s life. It definitely has that effect on people in the real world.
But this is comic books we’re talking about here. I don’t really know if the fan response has been positive or negative, but I want to take a moment to explain my current thoughts on these sorts of big changes.
Will this new change be a permanent fixture in Batman’s life going forward? What about Captain America being a fascist in Secret Empire? Or what about that time Doctor Octopus swapped brains with Peter Parker and became the Superior Spider-Man? Personally, I think it all fits together in the general understanding of comic book fluidity.
Join me after the jump to find out exactly what Batman has done now, along with my thoughts on comic book story permanence and why everybody should just calm down.
Glad to Hear Preacher is Coming Back!
We are living in peak prestige TV. In fact, I’ve started hearing rumblings that networks are starting to pull such shows off the air, since there are so many. And I’m loving them all! Or at least, the ones I’m watching. I’m only human and there’s only so much time in the day.
Anyway, Preacher gets a second season!
I loved the first season and I’m very much looking forward to the next. Season 2 will launch on June 25!
