Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is right around the corner
This is going to be a big year in video games, and the first major release is coming out on Tuesday. It’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance II! I played the first one years after release and had a great time, even though I never actually finished. And I’m very excited for the sequel…though I probably won’t buy it on launch. I’m still distracting myself with other games.
Anyway, this is a fun game. It’s the Skyrim/Fallout first-person RPG style, but it trades dragons and sorcery for hardcore realism. This is a game where you have to put on every single strap of armor, from underwear to undershirt to padded jerkin to chainmail to breastplate to gloves to socks to boots to gauntlets to leg irons to all sorts of other details. The detail is insane, and that’s what makes it interesting and unique and, in it’s way, very fun!
I will definitely get this one eventually and just want to spread the good word about how much fun these games are. Check it out and try it out! Very fun stuff.

My 6 Most Anticipated Pop Cultures for 2025
We’re deep into January now, which means this article is pretty late — but also not so late that some of these things have come to pass yet. They’re still in our future, so it’s still safe to talk about them like that.
As I become a bitter old man, all I really have let to cling to are pop cultures like video games, TV shows and movies. And 2025 promises to be a very good year for content, in a world that relies on more and more content. So let’s talk about them for the year ahead!
And feel free to share your own anticipated pop cultures in the comments below!

Welp, the world keeps spinning and we’ve reached the end of another year. It was a crap year full of mostly crap entertainment, and I’m coming up empty in terms of empathy and interest. Following the presidential election, I’m opting to be more cynical these days as a coping mechanism. This was also the year I took a back seat on posting all the time. This was a year.
In good news, I finally started my own original comic — Cover Bard — and am halfway done with the first issue. I need to make a big post about it. And the second volume of Gamer Girl & Vixen is complete and headed to the printers, to be distributed and available for sale early next year. So those were some good things that happened. We also had a ton of great TV shows, but not a lot of great movies or video games. It was a weird year.
But I like putting together a list like this, so join me after the jump for my favorite bits and pieces of pop culture from 2024! And feel free to share your own in the comments below.

I posted a bunch of video game trailers the other day, but I missed a trailer for The Outer Worlds 2! How dare I! I very much enjoyed the first Outer Worlds trailer, and I look forward to that team expanding on everything they built before and making an even better game! The humor seems on point, at the very very least.
What’s not to love? I enjoy these style of games, the first person RPG like Skyrim and the Fallouts. So bring on more! Especially from this proven team, with a really solid and enjoyable sense of humor. I’m all for it.
And, again, The Outer Worlds 2 will come out next year, adding to the giant pile of awesome games we’re all anticipating.
