Polymorphic Autonomous Compound MANipulator

Or ‘Pac-Man’ for short.

I swear, there must be a farm somewhere that grows small groups of nerds who do nothing but make funny and geeky Internet videos all day. They usually include several dorky looking guys, and at least one hot chick. Yesterday we had live action Hey Arnold! and Doug, today we have a live action Pac-Man. And it’s awesome! The graphics of Pac-Man and the Ghosts are absolutely amazing. If this is the kind of work that amateur computer graphic artists are doing these days, then the future will be very cool indeed.

This movie is brought to us by the people at Machinima.

The Doctor Who RPG by College Humor

Sadly, this isn’t real. But quite honestly, after watching this video, how can anybody make sense of Doctor Who? Sheesh! The geniuses at College Humor have put together a video showcasing Doctor Who as if it were a 16-bit RPG from the Super Nintendo era. It’s funny, but mostly it’s insane. But it sticks very closely to the actual episodes, so it’s the show Doctor Who that’s really the insane one!

Fans will love his. People who don’t watch Doctor Who won’t have any idea what’s going on.

SPOILERS: This contains spoilers to seasons 5 and 6 of Doctor Who, the Matt Smith years. Don’t watch if you haven’t seen those episodes yet!

More Arkham City – Harley Quinn’s Revenge?

Rumors and speculation are swirling around the Internet today about new DLC for Batman: Arkham City that will feature all new story segments centered around Harley Quinn! Not only that, but these same rumors indicate that Robin will be a playable character! So that definitely gets my heart all a flutter.

Harley has that effect on nerds

But don’t just take my word for it. Click on over to PS3Trophies.org, where they have uncovered a list of game achievements for the new Harley DLC. This site is pretty reliable, because their skill at uncovering achievements was also the first indication that Nightwing was going to join the game.

You’ll have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the new achievements.

The last few DLCs for Arkahm City, involving Robin and Nightwing, both only had 2 new achievements apiece, and both only featured the characters in a series of challenge maps. But if we read those new achievements for the Harley DLC closely, we can see that they indicate something much more than just a challenge map. So could it be new story content?

Example: Breaking and Entering: Find a way into the secret base.

And one of the achievements points to more playtime for Robin!

A Few New Tricks: Use 5 different Quickfire gadgets in one fight as Robin in Harley Quinn’s Revenge.

Unfortunately, there’s no indication when this DLC will come out, what it will entail or how much it will cost. And it seems that Warner Bros. isn’t commenting on the record yet. So who knows when it will come out? All I know is that I’m now incredibly excited! Time to dust off my copy of Batman: Arkham City!

April Fools Day Begins with Awesomeness

I love April Fools Day. And I love the Internet’s response to April Fools Day. All the silly little website changes, jokes and Rickrolls. Google is always good for a great joke, and so is the pop culture website IGN. This year they may have outdone themselves, enlisting the talents of Harry Partridge to make a Saturday morning cartoon version of Mass Effect. Perhaps you’ll remember Partridge’s Watchmen Saturday morning cartoon?

Anyway, enjoy the new video and Happy April Fools Day!

Mario with Portals? Hilarity Ensues

Have you played MariO, the reprogrammed Super Mario Bros. 1 with a portal gun? I have, and it was really awkward to control, so I didn’t play very much. But a bunch of guys from Rooster Teeth, the team that makes Red vs. Blue, have decided to play 4-person MariO and it’s hilarious. If you can stand watching other people play video games, this 20-minute video is a blast. It’s funny from beginning to end as these guys deal with the utter insanity of cruising turtle shells and 4 separate sets of portals.

Totally worth a viewing.
