Clearly Batman + LEGOs is a Winning Combination

Enjoy this LEGO Batman Arkham video on your no-doubt harsh Monday!

With The LEGO Movie dominating the box office, surely I can’t be the only person in a LEGO mood recently. Brought to use by the folks at forestfire101.

A Little V-Day Comedy

Sorry, but I’m still kind of hung up on The LEGO Movie! Here are some well-made bloopers! No movie spoilers, I don’t think.

Take your significant other to see The LEGO Movie!

My 6 Favorite Classic LEGO Themes

The LEGO Movie was awesome! It was more awesome than it had any right to be, and that’s  coming from a guy who expected it to be a great film. The LEGO Movie was transcendently good, touching upon themes and realities that reached both the kid and the adult in of me. I’m so glad I didn’t read any reviews or any spoilers before seeing the movie, because watching it all unfold on its own during the movie was just a fantastic experience.

So, of course, I’m in a LEGO sort of mood.

It’s a good mood to be in

I have been playing with LEGOs for as long as I can remember. I used to own a ton of them when I was a child, and could usually count on my grandmother to get me a few more sets for my birthday or Christmas. I don’t think I ever owned any of the really huge sets, but I had vehicles, and mini-figs and more loose pieces than you could shake a foot at! And my love for LEGO never went away. I still buy the occasional set now that I’m all grown up, just for the fun of putting it together and then adding it to my Geek Wall for display.

But back in the day, I was hooked on LEGOs. Let’s take a trip down memory lane to some of my favorite sets and themes. And please feel free to share some of your own memories in the comments!

Building Makes Me Feel Good! LEGO Ghostbusters is Coming!

LEGO will be putting out an Ecto-1 model (hopefully with Ghostbuster mini-figs) later this year, thanks to their fan-submission program. This has me excited on multiple different levels.

I can’t wait to see the final designs. And it’ll probably be expensive as hell, so I better start saving now. While we’re on the topic, here’s a List of Six I did a few years ago of licensed properties I’d like to see in LEGO. I can’t believe I didn’t put Ghostbusters on that list…

It’s Like All 30 Years of My Life Coming to Fruition

Simpsons LEGOS. It’s beautiful. They should have sent a poet.

I want to start a Kickstarter campaign just to raise the money to purchase this. I can do that, right? Isn’t that what Kickstarter is for? Or maybe I’ll raise the funds to write a poem about this set. My God. Not only is it the house, but it opens up! And there’s a working garage, with the pink car, and mini-figs of all five family members, plus Flanderses! Oh man, oh man, I’m salivating over here. LEGO Simpsons is probably something I’ve been waiting my entire life to own.
