And by ‘someone’ I mean the VFX artists at Final Cut King. And by ‘caught’ I mean made a Youtube video. And by ‘real live Pikachu’ I mean a real live Pikachu! Oh my god, you guys, this is amazing! Musician extraordinaire Adam WarRock has finally written that Game of Thrones rap that everybody everywhere wanted. We geeks love Game of Thrones, we love Adam WarRock and we love geek-flavored songs. So give this one a listen and try and tell me it’s not awesome.
Supervillain declares war on Phoenix Jones
For those of you keeping track of Superheroes in the real world, the city of Seattle is home to homemade superhero Phoenix Jones. Jones has administered his personal brand of self-styled vigilante justice since 2011; equipped with body armour, a stun baton, mace, tear gas and handcuffs.
Jones, with his ten-member costumed crimefighting group, “Rain City Superhero Movement” have been fighting and preventing crime in Seattle and parts of Washington for more than a year without any response from the supervillain community–until now. Behold, Rex Velvet!
Video Games are the Movement of the Soul
Or at least they will be for you once you watch this brilliant video called ‘Go Right’. We were all raised in a world of 8-bit platformers and plucky little plumbers. When victory was always somewhere to the right, and only a few power ups or a boss fight away. This was when video games were pure. When they were simple and enjoyable. And watching this video, by RockyPlanetismal, will take you back to those days of yore. Wonderfully touching and delightfully nostalgic, I do hope you enjoy.
Avengers the Boy Band
There are so many good Avengers parody videos coming out this week. I have more than enough material to make the funny as we await the US release of the film. Those geniuses over at IGN created this hilarious Boy Band video, which is worth a watch. They also posted their review of the movie, and gave The Avengers a 9/10. So by all indications, all the reviews I’ve been reading, this movie is going to be as awesome as we’re all hoping. Don’t worry, that review is spoiler free. Go ahead and read.
