Mortal Kombat Legacy Returns
The first trailer is out for the second season of Mortal Kombat Legacy. It looks pretty awesome.
I really enjoyed the first season of Mortal Kombat Legacy, and especially that original Rebirth video made all those years ago. Well now director Kevin Tancharoen and his people have a bigger budget and are adding even more characters. That trailer looks great. I can’t wait to watch the new episodes. I may even post them here.
You can get caught up with the original Mortal Kombat Rebirth video or just watch all of season one.
I am a big fan of the Mortal Kombat mythology. I know that’s a silly thing to be, since it’s just a fighting game with palette-swapped ninjas (my future band name) and convoluted backstory, but I think Mortal Kombat has one of the coolest casts in all of video games. And having someone make legitimately cool, serious short films about them is an awesome thing indeed.
I only hope they eventually add my favorite character, Smoke.
The Wario Rap
No one’s got a strut like Wario!
I throw around words like ‘awesome’ and ‘delightful’ a lot, but this song by the Random Encounters team is definitely both. Funny, witty, and with a snazzy, Wario-infused beat, this is professional video game parody at its best! Plus maybe this song will really get stuck in your head.
Saturday Morning Cartoon – Super Mario Busters
I was a big fan of Saturday Morning Cartoons as a kid, so let’s resurrect that tradition with this amazing web video! The Super Mario Bros. as the Ghostbusters! I cannot stress enough the awesomeness of this video.
Genius, total genius. Give it up to James Farr for such greatness. And he promises there will be a sequel!
When the Internet Gives – The Skyrim Theme Sung by the Chocolate Rain Guy
The title says it all. Sometimes the Internet just comes together to produce something I never knew I could live without.
Who doesn’t love Chocolate Rain? It’s an Internet classic. And one has to assume that meme pioneer Tay Zonday has to wake up every morning and think up something new to do with his day. I bet he plays Skyrim. If I could sing an awesome version of the Skyrim theme, I totally would. I would owe it to the world. He’s only doing what he was put on this Earth to do. And for that, I salute him.
He also sang an awesome cover of Be Prepared from the Lion King. Because, again, the Internet is nothing if not all-giving.
