Hi blog fans, Sean here to let you know that the Kickstarter for my self-published comic, Gamer Girl & Vixen, is in full swing. We’re trying to raise money to print the first two issues of the series and you can pre-order your copies now.

Pitch Perfect was One of the Inspirations for Gamer Girl & Vixen
I think it’s rather fitting that the Kickstarter for my comic, Gamer Girl & Vixen, is going to launch on the same weekend as the sequel to Pitch Perfect, one of the inspirations behind my comic. My friend and co-writer Kristi McDowell introduced me to the movie, one of her favorites, and I absolutely loved it. I love a good musical. And Anna Kendrick is the Gamer Girl & Vixen spirit animal.
So what better way to celebrate than with a showing of Everything Wrong With Pitch Perfect!
Thank you, Cinema Sins, for giving me something awesome to post on the eve of my Kickstarter. I’m so excited, you guys and gals! We launch tomorrow morning!
Also, we’re big Beca/Chloe ‘shippers. I’m not ashamed to admit that.

Gamer Girl & Vixen: The Final Countdown!
We are less than a week away from the Kickstarter launch of Gamer Girl & Vixen! I’ve been building to this moment for months now, getting all of the finishing touches in place and doing all of the research under the sun on running a successful campaign. It all starts with you wonderful henchies and the support you’ve shown so far. I haven’t been this excited since we were days away from Age of Ultron coming out – which, I’ll admit, was only a couple weeks ago.
Still, everything is on track for an awesome launch weekend. We’ve got tons of rewards to give away, tons of art to show off, and hopefully we’ll really spread the word around the Interwebs.
If you’re unfamiliar with how to use Kickstarter (I know I was), I’ve put together this handy dandy FAQ to help out. It’s as simple as ordering something from Amazon or any other website.
And to keep the excitement building, here’s a tease for the final cover of issue #1! It’s gorgeous, and I can’t wait to reveal the whole thing this weekend!
But mostly, I just wanted to post this music video!

Gamer Girl & Vixen Kickstarter Launches on May 16!
Save the date! Now that the first issue of Gamer Girl & Vixen is complete, we’re taking this party to Kickstarter on Saturday, May 16! We’re going to raise money to make a second issue of our comic, and then get some print copies into everybody’s hands!
This is exciting! We’ve been working on this comic all year so far, and I’ve been reading everything I can about how to run a successful Kickstarter campaign. We’ve got a great page ready to go, some great art to show off to everybody, and some even cooler rewards to hand out to all our backers.
Hopefully I’ll be able to convince some of you fine Henchies to pledge some money towards my comic. Don’t worry, it’s not a requirement to keep reading this old blog! Just keep in mind that I’m probably going to be talking my head off about my comic once the Kickstarter launches!
As if I’m not doing that already!
Remember to mark your calendars! May 16 is the big day!

Gamer Girl & Vixen: The First Issue is Complete!
Today is an exciting day, everybody! The first issue of Gamer Girl & Vixen is done! The colors, the lettering, the putting everything together in the right order; it’s all done! I have a comic book! It’s taken a few months of hard work, but it will all be worth it when you and all of our other potential fans of the comic in your hands.
Next comes the road to Kickstarter in a little more than two weeks! We’ve got to put a few finishing touches on our Kickstarter campaign, and thanks to the help of some of you wonderful Henchie volunteers — Karen Lin, bblast616, buns134 and Maus Merryjest — we’re going to have a kickass campaign with fair prices and awesome rewards!
In fact, double thanks to Maus for giving my comic a write-up on his Tumblr!
I cannot thank you Henchies enough for following along with this dream project and lending a hand where you can! It’s why I love the Internet.
As always, if you’d like to follow along with further Gamer Girl & Vixen production, just head on over to our website GamerGirlandVixen.com. And I’ll have more information on the Kickstarter as we get close!
