Today Feels Like an Expendable Kind of Day

I don’t particularly care for The Expendables franchise, but gosh darn it, I love the attitude behind it. The idea of getting together all of the classic action movie stars in one franchise is just the bee’s knees. And today, being the random Thursday of my week off from work, it feels like an Expendables kind of day!

Check out the Honest Trailer for The Expendables.

And then as a real treat, check out Expendables: The Musical by legolambs. These guys are geniuses and this is one of their best.

That song gets me pumped for the rest of my day of lounging around doing nothing!

More Bloopers!

I dunno what it is about this week, but not much is going on. Javier reminded me of this sweet blooper reel from Game of Thrones Season 4, so why not partake?

If Game of Thrones bloopers aren’t you thing, about about a mishmash of President Barack Obama singing the song Fancy, which I guess was a hit this summer? I don’t know. I have absolutely zero connection to the music world of today. I’m like Abe Simpson. It has happened to me!

But these mishmashes are always fun. Can we start calling them all ‘mishmashes’? That’s a fun word.

We’ll Make the Batman Metal

Enjoy this lovely ditty about Batman as one badass metal mofo!

The animation is pretty good, and the song is pretty metal, so it’s got that going for it. Batman, of course, could be the king of metal. And Robin is kickin’ it on drums. The video was made by ArhyBES.

Spooky Doctor Who Song is Spooky

So I was cruising around the Interwebs today on my day off from work and stumbled upon this nifty Doctor Who song. It’s a few months old, but perhaps you haven’t seen it yet!

I like the tune. It’s spooky and kind of neat. It’s exactly the sort of thing I’d be watching on my day off. It was posted by a fella named Alex Day from his band Chameleon Circuit.

Hello! How ‘Bout a Fun Broadway Song!

It took the geniuses of the Internet long enough to mash-up The Book of Mormon with South Park, but the results are just as wonderful as we could have hoped.

As we all know, Trey Parker and Matt Stone are the geniuses behind both, so it was only a matter of time before someone put the two shows together. Why we don’t have a full Book of Mormon cartoon in the South Park style is anyone’s guess. I also still need to go see the show on Broadway one of these days.

This mash-up was made by Simon Chong.
