Electro No? Or Electro Yes?
The first official, fully-CGI’d picture of Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hit the Internets yesterday, and I for one kind of like it. What do you guys and gals think?
We’ve known for awhile now that Electro, played by Jamie Foxx, was going to be blue. I was fine with that. The new cover of Entertainment Weekly also shows us that he’s going to have all sorts of neat CGI’d lightning and electricity bits floating around his bald head. I’m sure they’ll be actively buzzing around, and not just static. This Electro looks like a combination of Ultimate Electro and the one from that cell-shaded Spidey cartoon on Mtv. At least it’s not the gaudy green and yellow costume, amiright?
Anyway, I like it. The jumpsuit looks neat and the features on the head are kind of cool. What does everybody else think? Let me know in the comments!
Apocalypse Cancelled This Friday
Less than a week until Pacific Rim debuts and they cranked out yet another trailer! Good for them.
I’ve been posting these trailers right along, even though they’re all mostly the same footage and dialogue. But each one has been fun. And they haven’t dulled my excitement any. I’ll definitely be seeing Pacific Rim this weekend. How about you?
Norway Jumps Into the Superhero Movie Biz with Antboy
Possibly to whet my appetite for the upcoming Ant-Man movie, Norway (the country) has come up with a trailer for their own movie called Antboy. It’s in Norwegian, and there are no subtitles, but it’s a neat little trailer anyway.
Oddly though, they trade shrinking for acid piss. Norwegians are weird.
Gob Bluth stars in Now You See Me
Oh Internet, I love you.
That’s Gob Bluth, from Arrested Development, cleverly inserted into the trailer for the movie Now You Seem Me. The movie is about magicians who turn to crime. Gob is a magician who is simply pretty terrible. The two go together surprisingly well. And for that, I love the Internet, and mix-master James Harrop.
Let’s Celebrate Our Independence Day!
This Fourth of July, two of my favorite Internet comedy groups, Screen Junkies and Cinemas Sins, have worked their movie parodying magic on the classic alien thrillride, Independence Day! And what better way to celebrate the holiday (besides fireworks, flags and fried food) than by watching those videos!
We’re not going quietly into the night on this blog, baby!
And welcome to Earth! Did you hear they’re trying to make a sequel to Independence Day? Wild!
