New Deadpool 2 Trailer Makes the Case for New Deadpool Shorts All the Time
There’s a new, full-sized trailer for Deadpool 2 today, and it’s all manner of hilarious. Seriously, we need more Deadpool stuff all the time, this is so good.
Wasn’t that great? Man, what a good looking movie. The humor is on point like so few things. These trailers have been works of comedic art in their own right. I want more trailers! And I don’t want the movie to end!
Deadpool 2 will be in theaters on May 18!

Oh Yeah, There Was a New Avengers: Infinity War TV Spot!
I got lazy yesterday and only posted the Solo trailers. But the Super Bowl also gave us this awesome new bit about Avengers: Infinity War!
Hecks yeah! The movie still looks great and there’s everything in the world to look forward to. And to make things even better, we’ve still got Black Panther to look forward to in a week! Good times all around!

Solo: A Star Wars Story is Probably Going to Be Fine (Updated)
UPDATE: Here’s the full trailer! My thoughts below remain the same.
I’ve mentioned this before, and it bears repeating, but I don’t care about Solo: A Star Wars Story. I find it hilarious that we’re 3 months away from the movie and are only now getting any sort of trailer, in the same way I find the Dark Universe hilarious. I just don’t think this was a good idea for a Star Wars anthology movie. There’s no improving on Han Solo.
But hey, here’s the Super Bowl trailer.
It looks fine. It’s got all the necessary Han Solo-y stuff in it. And there’s even a touch of comedic craziness. So it’s probably going to be a fine movie that we all generally enjoy in the theaters in a few months.

The Top 6 Fishiest Mermen in Pop Culture
I hope The Shape of Water wins the Oscar for Best Picture. It’s such a weirdly cool movie! I saw it this past weekend after waiting months for it to come to my local theater, and it was worth the wait. I’ll settle for the fact that it was nominated for Best Picture in the first place, but a win would be so wild and weird!
The Shape of Water is about a woman who falls in love with a fish-man. It’s a classic movie monster given a love story twist, and it works wonderfully. And it got me thinking about fish-men in particular. The Gill-Man is my favorite of the classic Universal Monsters, so I decided to make a list of the best Mermen in pop culture! And I don’t mean handsome, half-fish style Mermen, like Prince Namor or King Triton. I’m talking the ugly, fish-man-looking weirdos!
Join me after the jump for the fishiest of the bunch!
First Trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp!
Ant-Man is one of my favorite Marvel superhero movies, and is probably my favorite character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I like his ‘Average Joe’ style, and Paul Rudd is charmingly ordinary as he dives into the crazy world of superheroes.
So I’m thrilled that there’s a sequel in Ant-Man and the Wasp!
Looks great! Lots of action, some humor, and a really cool focus on Evangeline Lily’s Wasp! I liked the little bit about Scott not asking her to help out in Captain America: Civil War.
And the brief glimpse we get of the Ghost is pretty cool. I’m really looking forward to another solid and enjoyable Marvel superhero movie!
