Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is Definitely Happening!

Check out this new promo art released today from Guardians of the Galaxy 2! Looks like everybody is coming back, and they’ve even added Mantis to the mix!

Star-Lord got himself some fancy cumbersome armor

Looks like a solid, fun cast to me! We’re all super excited about this movie, right? It’s gonna be the bomb diggity and the bee’s knees all at once! And tiny Groot looks adorable.

A Prowler Comic is Coming!

The new Marvel comic lineup has been trickling out onto the Internet this month, but the dam broke and everything flooded through yesterday — which probably isn’t what Marvel wanted. Normally I might wait for their official word, but this is too exciting to ignore.

Prowler is getting his own ongoing series!

I like the new costume

I love Prowler. He’s one of my obscure favorite superheroes. Everybody has them. And I’m super excited to see the Prowler get some comic book time. The series will be written by Sean Ryan, with art by Jamal Campbell. I’m not familiar with either of them, but I’ll have high hopes anyway. Though hopefully the series isn’t going to be about some new loser taking over the Prowler costume and burying the regular Prowler.

There are a bunch of other leaked covers here, in case you want to check out what else is coming down the pipeline. Don’t worry, Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, Patsy Walker a.k.a. Hellcat and Power Man and Iron Fist are all coming back!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 7/9/16

Wow, so, uh, for the first time in the history of my doing this blog, I forgot to post these comic book reviews this morning. I had them all written up and almost ready to go, but I woke up Saturday morning and thought to myself…nothing. I forgot all about them. Then I downloaded Pokemon Go and went for a walk around the city. Well, you understand what that would have done to me. Still, not an excuse! These are super late, and I hope they’re still good!

I tried out Kim & Kim from Black Mask Studios. I read through both Amazing Spider-Man and adjectiveless Spider-Woman. And I even gave both Batman and Punisher a try. Pretty standard week of comics, if I do say so myself.

Comic Book of the Week goes to Silver Surfer #5, because it is still a very delightful comic book.

In this issue, Silver Surfer meets the Amish

Comic Reviews: Amazing Spider-Man #15, Batman #2, Invincible Iron Man #11, Kaijumax #3, Kim & Kim #1, Punisher #3, Silver Surfer #5 and Spider-Woman #9.

Big Hero Six is Still Mostly Cool

Honestly though, I mostly still like it.

Of the recent Disney animated movies, Big Hero Six is not my favorite. But it’s still good, and I can definitely get behind the team-up of Marvel and Disney making movies together. I still wanted an animated Silver Surfer film like this. It would be beyond epic. At least the Screen Junkies are here to tease the movies that do exist.

How Captain America: Civil War Should Have Ended

This one is actually pretty good.

Funny, insightful, well-acted and animated, and with some legit new endings. Hats off to the HISHE people, they did a quality job on this one. And with a quality movie, too. So far, Captain America: Civil War is the film of the summer.
