What If the Star Wars Prequels Were Good?

Some of you have probably seen these videos before, but I’ve been wanting to share them, because they’re a lot of fun. Basically, a rather creative chap named Michael at Belated Media has re-imagined the Star Wars prequels into a better, more entertaining movie trilogy. He keeps the same characters, general plot and themes, but does a much better job with the storytelling. He’s backed up by some great artwork by Jackie Whisler.

These are just one guy’s ideas, but creativity respects creativity.

I especially like what he has planned for Uncle Owen and Darth Maul. That’s some good thinking right there.

A Pretty Amazing Miles Morales Fan Film

If the major studios won’t bring Miles Morales to live action, the great geeks of the world will do it for them!

Solid work by Bard Tales Productions! The acting is stellar, the special effects are outstanding and the whole thing comes together quite nicely. This is what the Internet was made for.

The Fan Crisis!

A delightful fan named Ultra Sargent has whipped up this pretty cool splicing of all the live action DC Comics properties!

It’s the ultimate Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover! Though hopefully we won’t have to wait too much longer to see all these characters together on the big screen for real. They’re going ahead with that Justice League movie, right? They promised!

Star Wars Trailer Supercuts!

The Internet being what it is, several industrial geeks out there have spliced together all of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailers into two big, awesome super trailers!

Seriously, two different people did this.

First is the one by James Darling of Science vs. Cinema.

And then we have a super trailer by Shaun Cauthen of ScreenSlam.

Big props to all the geeks involved. This movie looks pretty neat! And it’s coming out in December! That’s, like, right around the corner!

Of Course Emma Stone Should Play Spider-Gwen

Though she’s probably too old for that new kid they hired to play Spider-Man, Emma Stone is the obvious choice for fan favorite character Spider-Gwen. And not just because she was the best Gwen Stacy on the big screen (Remember that there have been two?).

Major props to Vulture Studios and New York Magazine for putting this video together. It’s well-edited, looks pretty nifty and really shows deft of craft. Plus Emma Stone is pretty awesome, so giving her more attention is always a plus!
