Everybody Should Watch The Owl House
I just wanted to pass this trailer along as a friendly reminder that everybody should watch and enjoy The Owl House on Disney+. This is a cartoon I discovered late last year after deciding on a whim to give it a try. And it’s great! It’s funny, it’s creative, it’s badass when it wants to be; a solid, enjoyable cartoon adventure show.
The first season is fully available to watch, and the second season will kick off this Saturday, June 12. If you’re looking for a new cartoon to fill the void now that the likes of Adventure Time and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power are over, The Owl House is a solid choice!
Trust me, I know these things.

You So Silly, America
Well this looks neat. A new Netflix animated comedy movie about the “true” story of America’s birth. It’s America: The Motion Picture and it looks both silly and great.
Made by the guy behind Archer, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller on as producers, this looks like a hoot and a half! We’ve got Channing Tatum as George Washington, Olivia Munn as Thomas Edison, and this looks to be a crazy romp of sarcastic patriotism. I hope we can still laugh about such a thing.
America: The Motion Picture arrives on Netflix on June 30.

How About Some Rick and Morty Trailer?
Another Monday is here and we’ve got another trailer for the upcoming season of Rick and Morty. I mean, why not? We all love Rick and Morty. It comes out in a month. And it looks pretty fun!
I like Rick and Morty as much as the next person and the glimpses at the new season look great. What else is there to know? What else is there to talk about? They announced the other day that The Vindicators are going to get a spin-off show. That’s neat…except they’re all dead. So…huh?
Look, I gotta head out of town for work this morning and just wanted an easy share. I’ve got something a lot more fun — and tasty! — to post tomorrow! Just you wait!
Rick and Morty returns on June 20!

Go Watch The Mitchells vs. The Machines!
I’d been looking forward to this movie for a while and it lived up to all the hype and excitement! Head to Netflix as soon as you have a moment and go watch The Mitchells vs. The Machines! It’s hilarious, hugely energetic, action-packed and just a great movie.
It’s produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and has their same energy throughout. It’s also made by some of the people behind Gravity Falls. Really strong pedigree behind this film. And in a fun bit of moviemaking, this is a film that doesn’t make its characters’ unique traits the focus of the movie. The main character, Katie, is a lesbian, but it’s not the focus of the movie and it’s barely acknowledged. Likewise, the little brother is on the Autism Spectrum, but again, it’s not the point of his character. It’s not his defining trait. These are just parts of who they are and it’s really neat!
Highly recommend this movie. It’s gonna make my end-of-the-year top 10 list for sure!

How About Just Some Rick and Morty Madness?
Rick and Morty season 5 is coming at the end of June and the world is probably ready for it. I know I am! To help get us excited, some really sweet Rick and Morty business arrived this weekend. We’ve got a new trailer, which looks as good as always.
And then we’ve got this 17-minute, 8-bit adventure animated by Paul Robertson. Holy jeez louise, this one.
What the heck do we even make of that?! Other than art is amazing and this Robertson dude is some kind of god. If this doesn’t spur Cartoon Network into hiring Robertson to make a legit Rick and Morty 8-bit adventure, I don’t know what will! Everybody loved that Scott Pilgrim game, right? Do that, but make it this!
Find the time to watch all 17 minutes. This thing is really nifty!
