We’re Getting a New Justice League Cartoon!

The first poster for the new cartoon — Justice League Action — has arrived and been confirmed by Cartoon Network! The new show will be all about action, and will air in 11-minute segments — kind of like Teen Titans Go! .

Justice League Action 01

We do know that Kevin Conroy will be back as Batman, and Mark Hamill will be back as the Joker, so those are pretty cool. And Deidrich Bader, who I will always know best as Oswald from The Drew Carey Show, will be Booster Gold. So we know there will be a rotating cast of heroes, as you can see in the background of the poster there.

No premiere date has been announced or anything else, really. I suppose that’ll be coming. Who’s excited? Who’s dreading a JL version of Teen Titans Go!?

Turns Out There’s a Full Justice League vs. Teen Titans Trailer

So much for that teaser I posted this morning! The full trailer for Justice League vs. Teen Titans is here!

Looks neat, but my comments from this morning stand: I’m just not all that interested. But I know I have a lot of Titans fans who read this blog, so I wanted to share. And now that I think about it, what the heck is up with this Titans lineup?! Starfire? Cyborg? What the heck is DC doing? Their animated universe is based on the comics in that it has Damian as Robin, and they do a lot of comic book stories, with appearances by the Court of Owls and Batwoman. But when they introduce the Teen Titans, they go with the animated Titans?! No Bunker? No Wonder Girl? What is with this odd disparity?

Speaking of animated Titans, I’m currently catching up on Teen Titans Go! That show is hilarious!

Justice League vs. Teen Titans Teaser!

I haven’t watched the DC Comics animated movies in awhile, even though they’ve currently taken up a strong continuity telling the story of Damian Wayne. Well in the next one, he’s going to join the Teen Titans! And it’s going to be Justice League vs. Teen Titans!

Part of me wants to watch these movies, but another part of me already has seen a few, and knows they’re just not very good anymore. But hey, more power to everyone involved!

I Kind of Want to Watch The Simpsons Again

Somebody at The Simpsons gets it. I haven’t watched the show in years, and I’m fairly certain all the new episodes are humorless and desperate, but somebody, somewhere, has their finger on the pulse of the exact level of camp that’s hilarious in 2016. How else do you explain this amazing Coach Gag that parodies the 80s to such a perfect degree?

That’s gold. And it’s an official Simpsons Coach Gag, to appear on an upcoming episode. That whole parody video is one bit of brilliance after another. Only to blow it in the final seconds with that bit about Maggie. But somewhere, it’s good to know somebody at The Simpsons understands what the hell they’re doing.

Only Leigh’s Year In Review

We here at Henchman-4-Hire are big fans of Internet cartoonist Only Leigh, so I see no reason not to share her 2015 year in review video! Warning, there are some Game of Thrones spoilers hidden inside, if you’re doing your darndest to avoid those things.

Great cartoons! And if you haven’t seen it yet, she did a pretty funny bit about BB-8.
