For Some Reason, Animated Guardians of the Galaxy Rubs Me The Wrong Way
I don’t know what my problem is! I absolutely loved the Guardians of the Galaxy! It was an amazing film! I loved it and can’t wait to buy it on DVD (which says a lot!). But there’s just something about how the characters are written or portrayed in other media that I can’t stand – and that includes comics! I think part of it is that Star-Lord’s red coat outfit just doesn’t translate well out of live action. He looks dumb. And the writing is just…I don’t know. All I know is that this snippet of an animated Guardians of the Galaxy rubs me the wrong way.
If you like it, by all means, like it! Don’t let me bring you down. I think I’m just unintentionally being some kind of curmudgeon.

you are right…it looks like flash animation type stuff. That preview was lame anyway.
I wanted to like it. Rocket Raccoon seemed pretty cool. But then Star-Lord showed up at the end, and his movie outfit and helmet just don’t translate well at all to animation. And his line was OK, but still rings hollow.
LOL yeah….he needed more swag for that line.
Ahhhh, no! What was that? It looked like it was made in Flash. It looks so cheap. And why are they all wearing their movie outfits? Isn’t the whole point of cartoons is to sell toys, well if the cartoon toys are exactly the same as the movie toys, then what’s the point?
I’m fairly certain every single cartoon made these days is done in Flash. At least most of them.
It looks like it was just made by an incredibly talented youtuber though. Not a team of professionals
Where do you think the professionals come from nowadays?
Korea? but in all seriousness. I’m too fond of the traditional animation technique through traditional drawing, maybe it’s because i’m an artist? I’m very old fashioned in that sense.
