Last Chance to Catch LobStar!

Today is the last day of the LobStar #1 Kickstarter campaign, so it’s your last chance to grab yourself a copy. They already hit their funding goal, so the comics will ship! Now they’re raising extra money to pay for the next chapter of the comic.

LobStar is the story of a New England lobsterman who gets lobster super-powers. It’s pretty neat! The comic is written by my pal Jamieson Alcorn, with artwork by Sierra Barnes, published by Very Big Comics. They’re part of my overall indie comic-creating crew, and it’s all about supporting one another. They’ll be helping me promote Cover Bard when it’s ready, and the next volume of Gamer Girl & Vixen.

So don’t miss out on LobStar!

Catch the LobStar!

Today is the launch day for the LobStar Kickstarter project and it’s your chance to get on board right away! As longtime readers of my blog might now, I’m a wannabe comic book writer myself. Gamer Girl & Vixen is coming along nicely, and I’ll have the first issue of my solo series — Cover Bard — ready to go sometime next year probably. I’m making these comics with some pals of mine through the Very Big Comics publishing imprint.

And now my pals are producing the first issue of LobStar, a story about a New England superhero fighting local corruption. LobStar #1 launches today on Kickstarter!

The comic is written by Jamieson Alcorn, with artwork by Sierra Barnes.

Matthew Murphy is a simple Downeast Maine lobsterman who commits a selfless act only to find himself chosen as the champion of the Lord of Lobsters. But his new powers were granted for a specific reason, and Matt has no choice but to accept a quest to leave his old life behind and learn about his new mission.

While he’s away, Matt’s hometown becomes the center of a lot of unwanted attention after news of his supernatural encounter gets out, and his rival Dave O’Connor is in the perfect position to capitalize on his absence.

You can also read a preview of the comic at GlobalComix.

So yeah, if you’re a fan of indie comics and want to support me and my pals in making comics, go back the LobStar Kickstarter today!

Gamer Girl & Vixen in ‘Gay Mergirl’

I’m back with the final of three new Gamer Girl & Vixen mini-comics we produced for Pride Month! This time it’s ‘Gay Mergirl,’ written by me and with art by Jo Christian. Making this comics is super fun and we hope to have more out this year.

You can check out all of our mini comics at Global Comix, and also our two graphic novels as well. We’re gearing up to work on a third graphic novel this year, which will hopefully be out sooner than it took to produce volume 2. We’re working on that part!

Gamer Girl & Vixen in ‘Glamour Mugshots’

Happy Pride, everybody! To celebrate, my creative team and I have put together a few more Gamer Girl & Vixen short comics. We’ll be posting them this month on Global Comix for everybody to read for free, including you good people on this blog. The first one is Glamour Mugshots, written by me, with art by Luke Beatrice.

Here’s a link to go read the comic!

For reals, we just made some new short gag comic strips and will be sharing them with the world because we love making comics and want to expand the world of Gamer Girl & Vixen. So keep checking Global Comix this month for the new updates, or just keep coming back to this blog, because I’m gonna share them all.

Last Chance to Order Museum of the Uncanny!

Good news, everybody! The comic Kickstarter I’m currently a part of has hit its goal and will get published! The Museum of the Uncanny is a spooky comic anthology full of short stories about unique and creepy objects, written by a diverse team of up-and-coming comic creators from around the world! And I just happen to also have a story in the book!

Today is the last chance to order your copy. The book is happening, it will get published, the goal has been reached. Now we’re just raising additional money to try to squeeze a few extra stories into each one, so more bang for everybody’s buck!

If you were waiting for the last minute to order this book, that time is upon us. The campaign ends tomorrow morning and then production will wrap up and we’ll get the book to the printer and then out to everybody who ordered a copy.

My story is called “The Normal Quesadilla Maker That Definitely Can’t Talk,” which is about an ordinary, everyday quesadilla maker. I promise.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg for awesome, spooky stories you can get at The Museum of the Uncanny!
