Billy Dee Williams’ Two-Face to Live On in LEGO Form!
I just discovered this fun little Easter Egg from the upcoming LEGO Batman Movie in a gallery of Batman LEGO images from New York Comic-Con and I thought I’d share: Apparently, the Two-Face character in The LEGO Batman Movie might be a Billy Dee Williams version! How else do you explain this very obvious looking LEGO figurine?
It’s not mentioned on Williams’ IMDB page, and I haven’t really been able to find anything through Google, other than some other people wondering the same thing. But just look at that mini-fig and tell me that’s not Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent!
As we all know, Williams played Harvey Dent in the 1989 Batman movie, with plans to eventually turn him into Two-Face. But by the time Hollywood got around to including Two-Face in the franchise, they switched out Williams for Tommy Lee Jones! Williams was robbed! I don’t think we’ve ever seen a black Two-Face. And this race change would have been decades ahead of its time!
Leave it to the people behind the LEGO movies to come up with the ultimate Easter Egg.

LEGO Batman Movie Doesn’t Look Too Bad After All
Look, as a Robin fan, I’ve got to make my peace with the short shorts and the pixie boots. There’s just no other way around it. I hate them with a passion, and I hate that society as a whole has so maligned Robin because of them. So yeah, it bugs me that they’re the first go-to joke in the full trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie.
But other than that, I don’t think Robin’s portrayal is all that bad! And Michael Cera does a pretty great voice! I’ve just got to keep faith in the franchise. The LEGO Movie is one of the greatest movies I’ve ever seen, with a completely unexpected depth. If this movie can pull off that same trick with Batman and Robin, then wholly heck! That would be amazing.
Plus, it doesn’t look like we’re going to get Robin in the DC Cinematic Universe, so I suppose I should take what I can get.

The First Look at LEGO Movie Robin is Not Encouraging
Your favorite sidekick and mine will debut and star in the upcoming LEGO Batman Movie next February. Seeing as how I’m a huge Robin fan, I’m very excited. But knowing how Robin is typically treated in pop culture, I’m also very worried. These first pictures, revealed by USA Today, have me more worried than excited.
Sparkly cape? Big googly eyes? Probably pixie boots? Eh.
Robin will be voiced by Michael Cera, which is fine, I suppose. According to director Chris McKay, Robin starts out as an annoyance to Batman’s lone vigilante style. Batman accidentally adopts him during a charity auction. He describes the character thusly:
“Robin is a super-positive kid who always sees the glass as half full. Really, at the end of the day, he just wants a hug. Michael brings the sweetness and honesty.”
So I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. There should be a new trailer debuting at some point during Comic-Con!

I Sincerely Hope the LEGO Batman Movie Doesn’t Make the Obvious Robin Jokes
The first teaser trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie arrived the other day, and it’s fun. Should be a good show.
Michael Cera is playing Robin in the movie, which could also be fine. But man, I really really hope they don’t just go with the obvious Robin jokes in this film. I think we can all picture Cera making the same, tired old gay jokes at Robin’s expense. But it’s 2016, dagnabbit! I hope these people have something better in mind.
