Random Movie Trailer Monday: Troll
So it’s a random Monday. I’m out of town, but didn’t want to not post anything. So how about sharing this random movie trailer for last week? It’s Troll, coming to Netflix. Looks like a pretty solid monster movie. I wonder if it’s going to be anything like Trollhunter from 2010. That was a fun one!
Yeah, Troll looks like fun. CGI looks good, the B-movie aspects look perfect. Should be a fun watch. Especially since it’s just going to Netflix, and that’ll be an easy watch.
Troll comes out on Dec. 1.

Slumblerland Could Be a Fun Movie
I like movies. I like new movies. I like most Netflix movies I’ve seen. They’re largely good. But few of them have been truly spectacular. So what are we to make of this full trailer for Slumberland? We’ve got Jason Momoa hamming it up. And it’s based on the classic Nemo stories.
Looks pretty fun. Looks pretty wild. But is it just CGI madness and little substance? I suppose we’ll find out when Slumberland comes to Netflix on Nov. 18!

The Sandman TV Show is Closer Than Ever
Another Comic Con trailer we got this past weekend was a big, beefy trailer for the Sandman TV show coming to Netflix. I read all of Sandman back in the day and it was as great a story as everybody says. The TV show looks like a damn fine adaptation.
There seems to be a real focus on The Corinthian being the big bad of the show. Was he that big of a deal in the comics? I know he’s got that freaky look, but I don’t remember him being the major villain of the series. The Sandman comic wasn’t about that. So hopefully we get more of the cool, dreamy stuff instead of the straight villain fight stuff. Still looks great!
The Sandman comes to Netflix on Aug. 5.

Epic Stranger Things Finale Arrives Next Week!
Strange Things season 4 has been pretty darn killer so far! Lots of action, lots of neat stuff has happened so far. I’m really excited for the final two episodes that will make up the season 4 finale. Here’s a trailer to give us all a really neat sneak peek!
Loving the continued use of Kate Bush music. I’d never heard the song “Running Up That Hill” before this season, and I’m loving it. I’m loving how Kate Bush is getting money and new recognition. That’s super fun for her! Hopefully much continued rocking is done in these last two, oversized episodes!
Stranger Things season 4 comes to an end on July 1!

Sweet, Sweet Sandman Trailer
The Sandman TV show is coming this summer! Fingers are crossed all the possible ways that this is going to be good. I loved all the comics. I love Neil Gaiman. And I’ve been loving most live action comic book streaming adaptations that we’ve been getting. So my hopes are up!
It looks fantastic. Very spooky. Very accurate. Also very existential. Will it get too weird for me? Maybe! But I’d like to think the showrunners will keep that in mind and make the show very approachable. Also, in case it needs to be said, I’m perfectly fine with Jenna Coleman being a genderbent John Constantine. Why the hell would I have a problem with that?
The Sandman comes to Netflix on Aug. 5.
