Just a Metric Ton of Rando Movie Trailers
I’m tired, boss. It’s been a week, let me tell you, and it’s only going to get worse over the next few days. So no List of Six this week. Maybe comic reviews. We’ll see. And for this middle of the week, I’m just gonna drop a bunch of random movie trailers that came out in the past few days. I don’t know what’s happening, but these are really, really random movies.
Let’s start with the most random (and that’s saying something!) Bando Stone and The New World with Donald Glover! This one is pretty wild and awesome.
It’s so nifty looking! Donald Glover at his weird and wild best, in a truly interesting premise. The effects also look pretty damn insane. Very creative, very inventive, and that could really make the movie.
Bando Stone and The New World…apparently currently has no release date. Huh. Oh well.
Next up is Red One, wherein the Rock and Chris Evans do a Taken with Santa Claus.
Honestly, this one looks fun. It’s probably gonna be ridiculous, but the same could have been said about Violent Night, and I loved that movie! That was Die Hard and Santa Claus. So I’m definitely willing to give this one a chance.
Red One comes to theaters on November 15! Theatres? Not Netflix? Interesting.
Third up is the trailer for Jackpot, in which John Cena and Awkwafina (that rhymed!) do a silly, R-rated action comedy. I love both of them, so I’m down!
And Simu Liu! Wonderful! I’m so glad to see him still getting work. I want that dude’s career to explode! And I want to see Shang Chi 2 sooner rather than later. But for now, I’ll settle for Jackpot, which comes to Amazon Prime Aug. 15.
Next is another trailer for the movie Trap, which is an M. Night Shyamalan movie.
And starring everybody’s forgotten Hollywood dreamboat, Josh Hartnett. Guess he’s back for good. Looks spooky. And the trailer doesn’t give the twist away, if you’re worried about that. Just looks like a solidly spooky horror film. Good times.
Trap comes to theaters on Aug. 2.
Lastly, we have Hellboy: The Crooked Man, what appears to be a fanmade Hellboy movie given realish studio power. If you can call Ketchup Entertainment a real studio.
I don’t even know about this. I guess Mike Mignola himself, along with author Christopher Golden, wrote this movie, so that’s something. But otherwise, this looks almost pathetic. But it also looks…maybe interesting? Seems to be a really spooky movie that just happens to throw Hellboy in as our protagonist. That could be fun! And if made cheaply, maybe we get a bunch of low key Hellboy movies?
I guess we’ll see when Hellboy: The Crooked man comes to theaters(?) sometime this year.
And that’s it! Those are all the movies! Or at least all of the trailers I saved and wanted to share. Probably a bunch more rando movie trailers in the world at the moment. But these will have to do for now!

I Do Hope Hellboy Has More Dialogue Than Just Quips
With the Captain Marvel movie right around the corner, studios are dropping their big new movie trailers. We had Dark Phoenix yesterday. And today it’s a new Hellboy trailer!
I’m still largely on the fence about this one…maybe. There’s no doubt I’m going to see it, because I go see everything. It’s what I do. But as per this trailer, the new Hellboy only speaks in quips. Weird.
I’m also still not sold on this new guy. He’s no Ron Perlman. Everything else in the movie looks pretty cool, though.

Hellboy and Men in Black: International Trailers Look OK
A couple new big trailers hit the internet this week, and they’re both OK. One is better than the other, but I’m not blown away by either.
First up is the new Hellboy, which is going for a more comedic tone than the first two Hellboy films — which I regard as classics.
That’s David Harbour as Hellboy and, I gotta say, I’m not yet convinced. It’s hard not to see Ron Perlman’s version looming over him. But I’ll definitely be giving this film a chance.
Next up is Men in Black: International, starring Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth as the new lead agents. I don’t really care for this trailer.
I just don’t like it. I don’t like the feel of it. I don’t like the way its edited. It’s not as sharp as it should be for the Men in Black. It feels like it’s going to lean really heavily into Tessa Thompson being a wunderkind.
But people enjoyed the first Men in Black movie, have probably forgotten the second and third (which I’ve never seen), so this one will probably be a success. I mean, I’ll go see it in the theater. I love going to the movies!

New Hellboy Has Dumb Hair
They’re making a new Hellboy movie, which is fine. I’m disappointed that it’s not Hellboy 3 with Ron Perlman, but we can’t always get what we want. The new film is slated to come out January 11, 2019, which is an insane release date for a movie. January is usually a dumping grounds…but I suppose studios have been trying to reclaim it.
Anyway, the studio and actor David Harbour shared the first look at the new Hellboy!
And his hair is dumb. I mean, come on! First of all, he looks exactly like Perlman, which is just weird. And second, long hair? How thought that was a good idea? He looks silly! So so silly.
