Sailor Moon Abridged By Those Good Folks
Like most people my age, I’m a huge fan of the Dragonball Z Abridged series by TeamFourStar. It’s a classic internet series, made with clear love and just funny as hell! Those good folks at TFS went all the way through the Cell Saga before burning out on the whole project, and they went out with a damn good bang! Some Buu Saga shorts exist, and they’re fun too!
Anyway, all of this is to build up to say I randomly found the other day that they’d started doing some kind of Sailor Moon abridged series as well! It’s shorter, snappier and is that same level of humor.
So yeah, watch and enjoy. Nothing too crazy. Just those very talented anime abridged folks at TeamFourStar have started doing Sailor Moon for some reason. It’s not a full episode by episode series, so it’s really abridged, and that’s fine by me, because entertainment is entertainment!
And stay tuned for additional parts they seem poised to put out in the near future, I hope!

Dragonball Z Abridged is Back…for Some Bits!
Dragonball Z Abridged, by Team Fourstar, is without a doubt one of the finest achievements of the nerd internet. These dudes took this beloved cartoon and, quite honestly, made it even better, let alone funnier. I still rewatch those episodes on the regular, and I’ve been watching their creator commentaries over the past year.
Well they’re back, baby! The crew at Team Fourstar famously decided to throw in the towel after The Cell Saga, deciding they didn’t have enough gas left in the tank to tackle the monstrosity that is The Buu Saga. Understandable. But it seems they’ve decided to come out of retirement for one last go at some bits of the Buu Saga.
Man, that takes me back. It’s a lot of callbacks and inside jokes, which is fine. This isn’t a full project. Just something they’ve decided to do for fun, to help that one guy with his Buu Saga review. It works for me. It’s funny, it’s well made, it’s classic Team Fourstar doing the Buu Saga. It’s wonderful!
Congrats to 15 years, Team Fourstar!

Sad News: DBZ Abridged is Over
Sad news, everybody! The amazing YouTube show Dragonball Z Abridged is over. The creators have decided to call it quits after more than a decade of possibly the greatest parody/homage show of all time.
Seriously. Dragonball Z Abridged is better than Dragonball Z.
I’ve been a fan of the fan-made show for almost all of these 10 years, and it’s sad to see it come to an end. But honestly, the end has come righteously. You can really feel the sadness in the two guys as they explain what happened. They created a masterpiece to be proud of, and to take it this far, that’s a real achievement. So my hat will always be off to them!
Here’s hoping the rest of the Team Four Star output is good! I enjoyed their Let’s Play of Fallout 4 a couple years ago! So at least there’s that.
Also, be sure to binge watch the entirety of DBZA whenever you want!
