Grand Theft Auto V is Less Than a Month away

Good news, friends! I finally have a working X-Box 360 in my apartment again! And somehow, against all odds, I managed to hook it up successfully to my big screen computer monitor. Now I can switch between computing and X-Boxing at the press of a button! It’s simple and awesome, because for the first time ever, I’m playing X-Box games on a hi-def screen. It is beautiful.

So I am all set for when Grand Theft Auto V drops on Sept. 17.

That’s the latest trailer for the game, and it still looks great. I can’t wait to play it in full HD glory!

LEGO Marvel Superheroes is Like a Yummy Present Just Waiting for Me to Play It

I don’t know about you, but watching this trailer fills me with all manner of giddy happiness. Me want game now!

No sign of Multiple Man yet. But the game has Squirrel Girl, Deadpool, Sabretooth, Mystique, Green Goblin, Venom and so many more. Oh man, oh man, this game is gonna rock! Except, of course, for its lack of online co-op. Why is it that the people behind these LEGO games never include online co-op? I realize the love of couch co-op is very nostalgic, but I’m not sorry that my friends don’t live in my house!

Batman: Arkham Origins Looks Even Better Than Before

There’s a new trailer out for Batman: Arkham Origins, and somehow it looks even better than anything we’ve seen so far. How are they doing that!?

Look at those awesome character designs! Listen to that beautiful dialogue! Though I still don’t think this game is going to have anything to do with the origin of either Batman or Arkham Asylum…unless Batman defeats all of those assassins and at the end of the game, somebody turns to him and says, “Oh hey, we just built this new asylum outside of town, we could take them all there.”

The game comes out at the end of October, and I’m seriously considering taking a week off from work just to play it. Don’t look at me like that. I’m allowed two weeks of vacation a year. So what if I spend one of those weeks playing Batman: Arkham Origins? You’d do the same!

World of Warcraft Knows How to Make a Villain

The final patch for the WoW expansion Mists of Pandaria is coming out…soon? I think? To prepare, the good people at Blizzard put together this neat little trailer for the Siege of Orgrimmar! I love the animation in these things.

Would it have been too much to have Thrall show up at the end? Still, awesome trailer. The WoW animations just look fantastic, I think. And that is definitely a successful build-up to the big bad guy.

For those who don’t know, the villain there is Garrosh Hellscream, the current and corrupt Warchief of the Horde. After discovering the lost continent of Pandaria, Hellscream went power mad and unlocked the dark secrets of the continent, in order to turn them into weapons to take over the world. Now it will be up to the players to band together and assault the Horde capital of Orgrimmar, which has been one of the game’s major locations since World of Warcraft began. So basically this is a pretty big deal.

It may also mark the end of my current run of WoW…at least until the next expansion.

If I Had a First Born Son, I Would Trade Him for Grand Theft Auto 5 Multiplayer

Hold on to your butts, boys and girls! The first full look at multiplayer in Grand Theft Auto 5 has hit the web, and it’s just as delicious as the single-player trailer from a few weeks ago.

A living, breathing Grand Theft Auto world. A GTA MMO. What they’re proposing here…could there be anything sweeter? Create and customize your own characters and send them through a GTA storyline. Buy new clothes, hairstyles and more for your own character. Buy your own apartment. Buy a garage and fill it with customizable cars that you own. Go golfing with friends. Racing. Swimming. Hooker-killing. Rob banks with your friends.

It’s…it’s almost too good to be true. And it’s only part of the whole package. There’s still the excellent single-player campaign. Oh man, I need to get my X-box fixed stat!
