Batman: Arkham Origins Looks Even Better Than Before

There’s a new trailer out for Batman: Arkham Origins, and somehow it looks even better than anything we’ve seen so far. How are they doing that!?

Look at those awesome character designs! Listen to that beautiful dialogue! Though I still don’t think this game is going to have anything to do with the origin of either Batman or Arkham Asylum…unless Batman defeats all of those assassins and at the end of the game, somebody turns to him and says, “Oh hey, we just built this new asylum outside of town, we could take them all there.”

The game comes out at the end of October, and I’m seriously considering taking a week off from work just to play it. Don’t look at me like that. I’m allowed two weeks of vacation a year. So what if I spend one of those weeks playing Batman: Arkham Origins? You’d do the same!

World of Warcraft Knows How to Make a Villain

The final patch for the WoW expansion Mists of Pandaria is coming out…soon? I think? To prepare, the good people at Blizzard put together this neat little trailer for the Siege of Orgrimmar! I love the animation in these things.

Would it have been too much to have Thrall show up at the end? Still, awesome trailer. The WoW animations just look fantastic, I think. And that is definitely a successful build-up to the big bad guy.

For those who don’t know, the villain there is Garrosh Hellscream, the current and corrupt Warchief of the Horde. After discovering the lost continent of Pandaria, Hellscream went power mad and unlocked the dark secrets of the continent, in order to turn them into weapons to take over the world. Now it will be up to the players to band together and assault the Horde capital of Orgrimmar, which has been one of the game’s major locations since World of Warcraft began. So basically this is a pretty big deal.

It may also mark the end of my current run of WoW…at least until the next expansion.

If I Had a First Born Son, I Would Trade Him for Grand Theft Auto 5 Multiplayer

Hold on to your butts, boys and girls! The first full look at multiplayer in Grand Theft Auto 5 has hit the web, and it’s just as delicious as the single-player trailer from a few weeks ago.

A living, breathing Grand Theft Auto world. A GTA MMO. What they’re proposing here…could there be anything sweeter? Create and customize your own characters and send them through a GTA storyline. Buy new clothes, hairstyles and more for your own character. Buy your own apartment. Buy a garage and fill it with customizable cars that you own. Go golfing with friends. Racing. Swimming. Hooker-killing. Rob banks with your friends.

It’s…it’s almost too good to be true. And it’s only part of the whole package. There’s still the excellent single-player campaign. Oh man, I need to get my X-box fixed stat!

It Appears That The Witcher 3 Will Be Awesome

I posted the first trailer months ago, but now The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has come out with an even cooler, more brutal and awesome trailer! This game is going to rock!

I never played the first Witcher, but The Witcher 2 was fantastic. It’s a fantasy RPG where you play Geralt, a witch-hunter who is good with a sword and knows a few spells. The story is very big, the scenery is usually breath-taking in its graphical power, and the character intersection/role-playing is second to none. It’s not just your generic hero out chatting up NPCs. Geralt has a whole world built around him, including friends, lovers, enemies and more. So this whole series gets my recommendation, if you want a well-made, fantasy game.

GTA 5 is Coming, and Me Without an X-Box

I found this picture online the other day, comparing the game map of Grand Theft Auto 5 with that of Grand Theft Auto 4…and I am quite impressed.

Humina humina humina

Unfortunately, here I sit with my X-Box still on the fritz. It’s been more than a month since my X-Box died on me again, and this was a new (used) one I bought in the hopes that I could get more than just two months out of it. Stupid local retailers. Anyway, I’m just doing a little sharing. I’m going to contact X-Box this week to get it repaired. I think it’s going to be about $100 – which I barely have right now – and I’ve heard good things about their repair process. So $100 and in a few weeks, I’ll get an X-Box back in time to play GTA 5. Sounds good to me.

I’m still dying to play State of Decay too!
