Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is just here now
I don’t normally pay any attention to video game remasters. There are always new video games to play, so I rarely look back. But I never finished Oblivion back when it first came out. And Elder Scrolls 6 is still a million years away. So maybe…
Anyway, this game was released just yesterday with no announcement ahead of time. Bethesda was just working on this totally in secret, then just unleashed it upon the world. Better graphics, better everything, I guess. Free on X-Box Gamepass, but otherwise costing a normal amount of money for a video game elsewhere.
I might have to play this one. I’m just finishing up Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, so I need a new game to play. And like I said, I never finished Oblivion. Heck, I can barely remember Oblivion. I don’t remember what type of character I created. I don’t remember most missions or major events. So it might be like a new game for me.
Though I probably shouldn’t go from KCD2 into a 20-year-old game, no matter how remastered it might be. I need something to whet my palette.

There’s Gonna Be a Marvel Beat’em Up!
A few years ago, the Ninja Turtles got a really awesome beat’em up game called Shredder’s Revenge. It was a gorgeous game steeped in TMNT lore and characters, a beautiful callback to the classic arcade games. Well those developers/publishers are back with a Marvel Comics beat’em up game! Because we are allowed to have nice things.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion looks cool as hell! Interesting character choices. Nova with long hair? I suppose. But Phyla-Vell?! That’s a great deep cut! And there’s always a chance for more characters to be added, just like with the Ninja Turtles game. I wish I’d waited to play that until Mondo Gecko was available!
Anyway, this game looks super fun and I hope I get the chance to play it with friends.
Cosmic Invasion comes out sometime later this year.

Another Look at The Last of Us Season 2
The second season of The Last of Us is only one month away! April is gonna be a great month for television, between TLOU and Andor. I can’t wait! But I have to wait. And while waiting, I can watch this new trailer we got recently, and share it with all of you.
Looks good to me! I loved The Last of Us 2 the game, and I can’t wait for that drama to make its way into the show. I have full faith that the showrunners will do right by all that good character stuff, and we get hints of it in this trailer. So great trailer, I say!
The second season of The Last of Us comes to MAX on April 13.

Let Us Start the Week with a 10-Minute Trailer for Death Stranding 2
I keep forgetting that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is coming out this year. There are so many new games that should be pretty awesome this year, and I have so little money. But Death Stranding 2 should be a hoot and a half!
Behold 10 minutes of pure nonsense!
I don’t remember anything about the story of Sam Porter, the baby and whatever else was going on in the first game. I just know that I loved the gameplay! I loved the walking and making deliveries. I loved finding paths. I loved gathering resources to build roads so that I could make my deliveries easier. And based on that trailer, I definitely see walking, roads and vehicles! So I am fully on board for this new game and can’t wait to play!
Death Stranding 2 is coming to the Playstation on June 26.

More Tony Hawk Nostalgia in These Trying Times
We got the announcement trailer yesterday that they’re revamping Tony Hawk: Pro Skater 3 & 4, like they did with 1 & 2 a few years ago. I’m excited. I was a fiend on all those Tony Hawk games back on the original Playstation, and playing the 1 & 2 revamp a few years ago was liking stepping through a time portal. I actively hurt my thumb using the D-pad so much, just to get back into that old school mindset.
So I’m fully on board with a revamped 3 & 4, even though my memory of them isn’t as strong.
I remember the airport, but I can’t say I remember any other levels or details about Tony Hawk: Pro Skater 3 or 4. Was 4 the one that became more GTA-esque? Where you could walk around the city? I eventually fell off the games, but don’t remember when.
Still, I’ll very much enjoy playing these again when Tony Hawk: Pro Skater 3 & 4 comes out on July 11. This is a great year for video games!
