Sizzle Reels Show Both Arrow and Flash With Some Sizzle!
Quick, wicked trailers for the new seasons of Arrow and The Flash were shown off at New York Comic-Con this past weekend, and both are pretty neat. We’ve already seen some of these teases in earlier trailers, but there’s still a lot of cool, new stuff.
Flash
Arrow
I saw the first episodes last week, and both were very good. I’m definitely looking forward to the coming seasons. I still kinda miss Roy Harper on Arrow, but we’ll see how Thea steps up as the new Red Arrow. And here’s hoping The Flash can pull off alternate dimensions. That stuff gets pretty tricky.

I Am Definitely Going to Watch X-Files This Time
One of the great regrets of my TV-watching past is that I never watched The X-Files when it was on. I had a bedtime in the 90s, and that conflicted with the late hour in which X-Files aired. The Simpsons was must see TV, but I had to go to bed soon after.
Well I’m prepared to correct that mistake with the new X-Files TV show!
I don’t know if it’s going to be good. I don’t know if it’s going to be worth anybody’s time. I don’t even know if X-Files can survive in today’s heavily serialized TV world — a world that X-Files helped create. But I’m definitely adding X-Files to my ever-growing list of TV shows to watch.
Now I just need to catch up on Fear the Walking Dead…

The Best Way to Show Off Witcher 3
So for a few weeks now, I’ve been crowing about the joy of playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It’s a fun, deeply immersive game with great graphics and stellar gameplay. It’s good times all around right here. Well with this being another quiet, dreary Monday, I decided to share the one video on the Internet that shows off the coolness of Witcher 3: Conan O’Brien using it to search for sex!
Anybody else watch Clueless Gamer? They’re pretty darned funny! And they make a good way to start a Monday morning.

DC Presents: “How to Make the Vision on a TV Show Budget”
So the first image of Red Tornado from the upcoming Supergirl TV show hit the Internet last week, and, well…I’m less than impressed. It’s made the rounds a lot so far, but I figure I should post it anyway for posterity. Someday, future geeks will dig through the Internet like archaeologists and will hopefully stumble upon my site. They’re going to want to know what I thought about a random TV character in a superhero TV show circa 2015.
That’s actor Iddo Goldberg in the Red Tornado gear, and, well…just look at the poor guy! Red Tornado is an android in the comics, and I think they’re carrying that story over into the Supergirl TV show. But he’s definitely an android on a budget. The face, obviously, harkens back to the Vision from Age of Ultron. And that suit, jeez. They clearly wanted the segmented look of a good Iron Man armor, but that is clearly just lines painted on felt. That’s not an android body armor, that’s a shirt.
Hopefully it’ll look better in live action. And we better not see a different Red Tornado in Arrow or The Flash, because I’m still holding out hope for a crossover!

We Must Never Discount the Doctor’s Rogues Gallery
The fine people at WallpaperDirect.com have, for some reason, made a really nifty infographic about the classic villains of Doctor Who. Just like that costume shop that makes superhero infographics, apparently there is a select couple of artists who work for random store websites who have decided that geeky infographics are the best way to go viral. It must be working, because I saw this chart posted everywhere! I can only hope it has helped sell wallpaper.
The full chart is a beast of a size, so join me after the jump to see the whole thing! And join me in wondering when Steven Moffat will finally bring back the Rani!
Also, if the picture is too small to read, just give it a click and you’ll be able to increase the size.
