Listen to This on Mute
Ostensibly, this is a funny video with drawings of the Avengers over the dancers in Lady Gaga’s music video for ‘Bad Romance’. However, I first watched this at work – and saw the gif – without sound. After listening to the music on my lunch break, I can definitely assure you that the video is 10 times better on mute when it’s just the silly figures dancing!

Cosplayers Are Awesome, Also Musical
As pictures of me dressed like Henchman 21 from The Venture Bros. can attest, I’m a cosplay enthusiast. That’s where nerds and geeks dress like their favorite characters at conventions. It’s a ton of fun. While a group at a London convention last October put together a musical tribute to cosplaying sung to the tune of Jon Bon Jovi’s It’s My Life’. It’s quite similar and done by the same people as this video from a different convention singing Pink’s ‘Raise Your Glass’. And while the earlier video is much better, the new one is still pretty kickass.
Meanwhile, I’m both freaked out and turned on by that chick in the bitchin’ Knuckles costume.
Adorable Beastie Boys Tribute
I may not know music, but I can recognize Internet awesomeness when I see it. Filmmaker and father James Winters gathered his two sons and a nephew in order to film an adorable shot-for-shot remake of the Beastie Boys’ music video ‘Sabotage’. It’s a tribute to the late Adam “MCA” Yauch, who passed away recently. And I think we can all stand behind a father who teaches his sons to respect awesome rock music.
I Enjoy Portal Song Videos
There are plenty of Portal song videos around the web, and I’m a fan. The game is great, and the fans really know how to treat the concept right. Those Nightmare Before Christmas inspired songs are amazing, and this guy, Harry UK, has made this new song. This one is a bit simpler, but the animation is great and the song is just sweet and enjoyable. So I hope you enjoy.
