Kung Fury
Remember that incredible David Hasselhoff video from a few weeks ago? It seemed to appear out of nowhere in some sort of glorious love-letter to the 1980s. Just as Hasselhoff single-handedly brought down the Berlin Wall, he also brought down the walls around our hearts and made us feel again.
His music video was part of the soundtrack for LaserUnicorns’ “Kung Fury.” The 30-minute action epic is about a cop who was struck by lightning and bitten by a cobra after seeing his partner killed in action, and developed super kung fu powers. With the help of the greatest hacker of all time, he travels back in time to kill Hitler.
I Told You I Was on a Dragonball Z Kick
Thankfully, the Internet is never short on awesome DBZ stuff! The above short video was made by Jordan Tseng and is all manner of awesome. I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again, if I had that kind of stop motion animation ability, I would…hopefully have an awesome job these days. Or at the very least, I could make some original content. That would be gnarly and cool!

50 Shades of Wayne
Mash-up trailers are rarely as well-made as 50 Shades of Wayne by Josh Meeter! This is good stuff!
There’s no denying that Bruce Wayne lives a pretty kinky life. Thanks to Henchman Javier for the tip!
And while we’re on the subject, I’ve never rear or seen 50 Shades of Grey myself, but anybody looking for some serious, legitimately good and even educational BDSM entertainment should read Sunstone by Stjepan Sejic. It’s more than a little NSFW, but it’s a damn good story beyond that.

What Superheroes Are Called in Other Languages
Some of you may already know these, but they’re pretty neat. France and Hungary have a way with superheroes, it seems. All credit goes to the clearly awesome James Chapman. That guy knows coolness. And he’s got a ton of other translated character names back on his Tumblr!

Power Rangers Goes Dark and Awesome!
Someone is clearly reading my blog, because the Internet has produced a dark, gritty Power Rangers fan film that is taking the world by storm! Be warned, this is absolutely not safe for work or kids. It’s got swearing, nudity and violence. But it’s still awesome.
Glorious.
That’s Katee Sackhoff as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, and James Van Der Beek as Rocky the Red Ranger. Entitled Power/Rangers, it’s directed by Joseph Kahn, and you can read an interview he did with Hitflix about the project. This was apparently just a one-off fun thing to do. It’s not for profit, it’s not an audition to direct the new Power Rangers reboot. But it’s definitely a project that shows a gritty Power Rangers reboot would be awesome.
Hats off to everyone involved in this project. As a geeky, nostalgic fan of Power Rangers, this was everything I could have wanted and more.
