Applying Dr. Seuss to Just about Everything

If nothing else, the Internet is a place to let nostalgia and creativity run wild. Whether it’s someone drawing a gritty reboot of Calvin and Hobbes or a mash-up of The Lion King with the recent Dark Knight Rises trailer. There are a ton of creativity people out there in the world, and they are having their go on the Internet. And my blog is a great place to spread the word to the masses!

With that in mind, I bring you a silly mash-up of Doctor Seuss and Ghostbusters. Just because it’s awesome. Done by an artist named DrFaustusAU. Be sure to check out his Dr. Seuss versions of Batman and Cthulhu!

This Skyrim Christmas Lights Display Officially Wins Christmas

Whoever this person is, they have officially won Christmas. It’s the Skyrim theme song illustrated with the most elaborate Christmas lights display ever!

According to the Youtube page, the guy is 19 and lives in Minnesota. He makes elaborate Christmas light displays as a hobby. I’ve heard of worse hobbies. Hats off to this person, fellow geeks. He is the champion this day.

How Rorschach Stole Christmas

This hit the Interwebs the other day, and it is glorious.

George Takei is Our New Nerd King

Some of you may be following the sci-fi spat between William Shatner and Carrie Fisher, or respectively, Capt. Kirk from Star Trek and Princess Leia from Star Wars. I haven’t been, because I don’t like to indulge in celebrity BS. A new chapter of the spat has unfolded, however, one that I have to share. But to set the scene, Shatner started the whole mess in an interview by saying Star Wars was derivative of Star Trek. Then Carrie Fisher did her own interview refuting him. Then Shatner made a personal video message to Fisher. Good-natured snarky fun was hard by all.

Well Star Trek’s George Takei has stepped forward to try and broker peace in a video that must be viewed by all science fiction fans.

The Henchman-4-Hire hereby pledges himself to George Takei’s cause! We must unite, my brothers and sisters in nerd!

Spreading the Word of Springfield Punx

I am a fan of many unique and just plain cool websites out there in the world wide web, and believe me, there are a lot of neat places to visit. One of the coolest is a site called Springfield Punx. Artist Dan Fraser basically draws a bunch of pop culture figures and celebrities in the Simpsons style, as if they were going to appear on the show. That’s all it is, and it’s delightfully brilliant. So if you’re looking to kill an afternoon, you can do worse than Springfield Punx.

What causes me to advertise this dude’s site? His latest image, of course: Arkham City Robin!

I'm attempting to become the go-to place for Robin stuff on the Interwebs
