Joss Whedon and the Gooch Fight a Giant, One-Eyed, Red Monster
Such is the debut of new hit Internet film “Scary Smash”!
Or actually, it’s the first episode of Geek & Sundry’s new series ‘Written by a Kid’. The fact that they got Joss Whedon, Dave Foley and the lovely Kate Micucci to star in it is just aces.
Some Good Superhero News for Today
Real life super-villain Rex Velvet has been captured!
But not by his arch-nemesis, Phoenix Jones. Instead, Rex Velvet went down in a silly string fight against Agent C – otherwise known as 12-year-old Colby, a Seattle kid who has been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy. Colby’s greatest wish is to be a secret agent, and with the help of the local Make-A-Wish Foundation, Colby’s dream came true.
When Rex Velvet kidnapped the Seattle Seahawk’s mascot, it was Agent C on the case to thwart that dastardly super-villain!
Here’s a video of the diabolical Rex calling out his foe:
This is just delightful news. We’ve been following the awesome adventures of Rex Velvet since he made his debut, but to see him actually use his villainous persona to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation? That’s beyond awesome! This guy is the greatest. And Agent C is pretty cool too.

A Pac Attack!
Are you ready for another gritty, live action Pac-Man reboot? You should be! The guys at House of Gunsword have made a pretty good one, imagining Pac-Man as some kind of evil demon monster.
It’s a fair bit different from imagining Pac-Man as a wacky computer program though!

Punisher Star Makes Punisher Fan Film
Thomas Jane, the star of the detested (by me) Punisher film from 2004, decided to make his own Punisher fan film for kicks and giggles. It’s actually pretty damn good – even if Punisher is a little slow in dealing out punishment.
Thanks to Xavier for the tip. My thoughts after the jump.
