6 Potential Superhero Super Bowl Half Time Shows
It’s Super Bowl week! The Big Game is this weekend between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers! I have no dog in the race — I’m a Cincinnati Bengals fan — and I’m not going to watch anything but the commercials on YouTube. But I can definitely make a Super Bowl-themed List of Six this week!
I’ve already done sports-themed superheroes. I even did a list of comic characters that Taylor Swift should date! This time I’m going to do comic book characters who could put on a good Half Time Show! There are a couple of musical-based characters, or even superheroes who are rockstars. Honestly, I’d love to see more comics where super-powered characters have jobs other than superhero. I think it would be neat!
Join me after the jump for six musical comic book characters who could put on a pretty good Super Bowl Half Time Show!

I loved the first Death Stranding game. It would have been my game of the year had I not waited so long to play it. Everybody complained that it was a walking simulator and that’s what I loved about it. I love pedantry in video games. I spent all of my time gathering resources so that I could build all the roads so that my deliveries were easier in a truck.
So I was very excited to see that Hideo Kojima is making a sequel!
So, uh, I don’t remember anything about the story or the weirdness. But I do see some walking and some vehicles, so I really, really hope the new game recreates the first game as a delivery boy. Let me walk! Let me build roads! Let me make deliveries! I can’t wait.
But I’m going to have to, because Death Stranding 2: On The Beach doesn’t come out until 2025…that’s gonna be a big year in gaming.

Movie Trailer Monday!
Good morning, everyone! It’s another Monday, we’ve all gotta get back to work, and I’ve got a couple other movie trailers to share that came along last week. I still enjoy watching movie trailers, though there isn’t too much to look forward to this year, I don’t think…
First up is The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare from Guy Ritchie.
I was excited for this trailer when I first heard of this movie, but the trailer does nothing for me. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a real, historical group from World War II that started pulling crazy spy nonsense on the Nazis. I think it would make a really interesting movie. But this trailer looks like any standard zany action movie, which is a bit disappointing.
Ah well, could still be fun. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare comes to theaters on April 19.
Next up is the international trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. I think this trailer is better than the trailer I showed last week.
This trailer is just a better overall movie trailer. It’s not drowning in nostalgic callbacks, and actually treats the movie like its own movie. I like that much better. I don’t think the Ghostbusters need nostalgia to carry them through a good movie.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 2/3/24
We’re in February, everybody! And that’s a big month for me! If you haven’t seen the news yet, my own self-published comic, Gamer Girl & Vixen, is returning to Kickstarter for our sequel graphic novel! So go sign up for the Feb. 12 launch! And then read my reviews this week for comics like Avengers Twilight and Duke!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Power Rangers Unlimited for a nicely personal spin-off story starring the Rangers Slayer.
Meanwhile, I’m slowly working my way through Super Mario Bros. Wonder. I splurged on that game before Christmas, and who doesn’t love a good, classic Mario game? And I’m watching some AppleTV+ again. Hijack starring Idris Elba is a real delight so far!
Comic Reviews: Avengers: Twilight: Book Two, Duke #2 and Power Rangers Unlimited: The Morphin Masters.
