How The Mandalorian Should Have Ended

The How It Should Have Ended gang has gone above and beyond for the first season of The Mandalorian, giving us alternate endings for all 8 episodes! Let’s give it up to these creative so-and-so’s!

Pretty funny stuff. And great animation, as always! They drew a glorious looking Mando.

Now we just have to sit back and wait another couple of weeks for the new season! Woohoo!

6 Things I Want to See in the Ms. Marvel TV Show

After a long wait and what was no doubt a lengthy audition process, Marvel Studios has cast Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan for the upcoming Ms. Marvel TV show on Disney+! This is exciting news because I am a huge Ms. Marvel fan and am very much looking forward to this show.

Theoretically arriving someday…

As has been pointed out, this is Vellani’s first major Hollywood role, so we don’t really know how she’s going to pan out as an actor — but I have 110% faith in the Marvel casting process. They haven’t failed us yet. No other casting decisions have been released online yet, but I’ve seen that the show is looking to bring in most of Kamala’s supporting cast from the comics. So there are no individual characters I hope they include because I’m confident they will include all the important ones. So this list is just some fun speculation of other things I’d like to see, like storyline ideas, villains or little details here or there.

Join me after the jump for ideas I’d like to see in the upcoming Ms. Marvel TV show! And feel free to share your own hopes, dreams and ideas in the comments!

Free Guy Looks Good, We’ll Probably Never See It

Ryan Reynolds has a new video game-based movie coming out called Free Guy, in which he’s an NPC who gains sentience when he falls in love with a player character. It looks pretty neat — too bad we may never see it.

So Free Guy is scheduled to come to theaters on Dec. 11. However, in the past 24 or so hours, a bunch of major cinemas have closed their doors and a bunch of major movies — including James Bond, Batman and Dune — have all been pushed back several months, if not entire years. So I think Free Guy and Wonder Woman 1984 are the only movies still scheduled to come out this year…and I doubt that will remain.

But hey, cool trailer.

Firefly Still Stings

I still love the show Firefly. I haven’t watched it in a while, so maybe it really shows it’s age, but it was a great show and it’s early cancellation still stings. It also hearts when Honest Trailers mocks the show!

Oh, my beloved Firefly…you don’t deserve any of that. But I can’t say that Honest Trailers wasn’t honest. Life is harsh.

Meanwhile, in case you’re looking for new YouTube to blindly watch, I stumbled upon one of those “reaction” YouTubers a couple weeks ago. There’s a million of them, but I like the charm of this Natalie Gold person I found. And she recently started a “First Time Watching” marathon of Firefly episodes.

She’s got a bunch of other videos, watching movies and shows for the first time. She’s only a couple months into her new career as a YouTube reactor. So again, if you’re looking for something new to watch on YouTube, Natalie Gold is mildly recommended.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 10/3/20

We have a doozy of a review pile this week, folks! The next chapter of X of Swords is a bit of a let down, but we’ve also got pretty wild issues of Power Rangers, Strange Academy and Legion of Super-Heroes. Not to mention the first issue of a new Shang-Chi ongoing!

Comic Book of the Week goes to Fantastic Four #24 for an utterly delightful love letter to classic Marvel Comics. Did you know Iceman was once a member of the Fantastic Four?

The Fantastic Four that could have been

Meanwhile, I’ve started playing Hollow Knight and it’s pretty fun. I’m in a bit of video game limbo at the moment as I await Cyberpunk 2077. I played my way through Wasteland 3, but wasn’t taken by it. I had a lot of fun with the Tony Hawk remaster…but using the D-pad so much sprained my thumb. And I can’t seem to get into the Avengers game.

Maybe Baldur’s Gate 3 next week will help fill this void in my gamer soul. Either that, or season 2 of Fall Guys.

Comic Reviews: Fantastic Four #24, Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey #3, Legion of Super-Heroes #9, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #54, Shang-Chi #1, Strange Academy #3 and X-Factor #4.
