First Look at Movie Wonder Woman
Comic-Con is in full swing today, and DC Comics/Warner Bros. has unveiled the first image of Wonder Woman from the upcoming film, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (which will include a Wonder Woman cameo).
I like it! Looks tough and Wonder Womany. Not very colorful…but that’s OK. I probably didn’t want her wearing star-spangled panties. These DC movies just aren’t going to be very colorful, we have to accept that. They’re gonna be dark and dreary. So in that sense, this costume looks good.

I’m really liking all the suits for this movie, for me personally they have done everything right in that department. My only nitpick would be that the tiara just looks kind of weird. I did prefer the concept art but this is just amazing. And yet people still complain…
People will always complain! So instead, we’ll hang out and think it looks awesome.
I love it. I just wonder if the lasso will actually be useful in the movie and have its qualities or if it is just a lasso
I’m definitely hoping for some awesome lasso action in the film. Though a ‘lasso that makes you tell the truth’ does sound a little weird…
Well, she still looks way too skinny, even with the presumed photoshopping this image has gone through. Having seen Gal Gadot in real life, I am going to stretch my disbelief-suspension muscles to accept her as an amazon.
But I should try and be positive, right? There’s heels, but at least they’re not stilettos. And the armor skirts nicely references greek/roman armors. And obviously cleavage isn’t going to be an issue, so there’s that.
I also like the skirt. The body doesn’t bother me in the slightest. But then I was comfortable with Topher Grace playing Eddie Brock.
You clearly have no standards. You casting slut.
But seriously, I just feel like it’s a wasted opportunity. How often do we get muscular, tough female heroines? It would have been fun to see a warrior Wonder Woman, rather than the usual model with a grimace.
Then again, I am one of the (very few) people who didn’t immediately fall in love with Christian Bale’s Batman, so maybe I shouldn’t throw stones…
I’m also happy with Bale’s Batman. People are too hard on his voice.
Too much brown. It needs some colour, some brightness. The faux-skirt looks silly. The wedge heels are just stupid and pointless. The bracelets could stand to be shinier – it’s tough to tell if they’re metal or leather.
All in all, I give it a resounding meh. Unsurprising, as “meh” is the best choice I have for all of DC’s movies.
I’m hoping the color now is just from the way the image is designed. Surely those bustier is more red.
The Wonder Woman movie was the only DC outing I was genuinely excited for, but now I don’t even have that thanks to Gal Gadot’s obscenely idiotic comments about tbe Israeli invasion of Gaza.
At least I still have The Rock as Captain Marvel. Should at least be fun. “Hercules” was a good time.
I have cursed Hercules for how it shuffles the monster-fighting into mere myth! I was going to go see it for the monster fighting!
I think we all were. XD Still, I enjoyed what we got. I’ve got a review of what I liked about it if you click the link in my name.
