6 Places Multiple Man Could End Up

One of my all-time favorite comic books, X-Factor, is coming to an end in September after more than five years of quality comics. This makes me a very sad panda. The superhero star of X-Factor is Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man, my most favorite comic book character of all-time. X-Factor was his first starring role. Before X-Factor, Multiple Man was lucky to play a bit part in random X-Men stories. X-Factor made him a star.

So what the heck is going to happen to Multiple Man now that it’s over?

Sayonara!

I really want to know. He’s my favorite character, and I’m going to miss reading new Multiple Man comics every month. I’m confident that writer Peter David will give him a powerful farewell. But comic books abhor a vacuum. While one writer might send a character off into the sunset, another writer is going to come along and find a reason to bring that character back from the sunset. So whatever Peter David does with Multiple Man in X-Factor #262, I’m confident – and a little nervous – that Multiple Man will show up again before too long.

But where? And what will he be doing? Here are six possibilities.

Iron Man 3 Gag Reel on This Slow, Slow Tuesday

In bigger news, I got my first smartphone today. I know what you’re thinking: how can I consider myself a geek if I’ve never owned a smartphone before. It’s simple; I’m not a tech geek. I’m a comic book geek. And I’ve always been behind the curve on tech. I was several years late to getting my first cell phone, and even then I had to get it from a family member for Christmas. I’ve been using pre-paid burner phones for a decade now, but have finally decided to take the plunge and get a smart phone – a Samsung Galaxy S3, in fact. We’ll see how it goes.

Anybody know any good games or apps I should get?

GTA 5 is Coming, and Me Without an X-Box

I found this picture online the other day, comparing the game map of Grand Theft Auto 5 with that of Grand Theft Auto 4…and I am quite impressed.

Humina humina humina

Unfortunately, here I sit with my X-Box still on the fritz. It’s been more than a month since my X-Box died on me again, and this was a new (used) one I bought in the hopes that I could get more than just two months out of it. Stupid local retailers. Anyway, I’m just doing a little sharing. I’m going to contact X-Box this week to get it repaired. I think it’s going to be about $100 – which I barely have right now – and I’ve heard good things about their repair process. So $100 and in a few weeks, I’ll get an X-Box back in time to play GTA 5. Sounds good to me.

I’m still dying to play State of Decay too!

Cosplay with a Purpose

The Screen Team made another neat song about cosplaying, and I think all geeks can take this to heart.

What is up with the woman in these videos? I’m sure I’m not the first person on the Internet to wonder this, but I think she’s just there to look pretty and offer…other services. Well she does both very well. And speaking as a guy who is out of every woman’s league, that girl is totally out of that guy’s league. Just sayin’.

Wise Gaming Advice

I am a man who loves cleverness. And clearly this Brental Floss guy is one clever fella. He puts to song what we’re all thinking. You’d have to be some kind of maniac to want to buy the Playstation 4 or the X-Box One on launch day. Follow the talking Game Boy’s advice: be staunch, don’t buy at launch.
