Monty Python and the Holy Grail is Serious Business

I love trailer mash-ups. And this serious take on Monty Python and the Holy Grail is made by Stephane Bouley, or at least he’s the one who posted it to Youtube. Funny stuff. Very funny stuff.

My 6 Favorite Comic Book Writers

Writing comic books is my dream job. It’s what I want to do with the rest of my life. But like any dream, it requires hard work, sacrifice, blood, sweat and tears; which is why my lazy butt is making due with just a simple comic book blog instead of actually doing it himself. But let’s not dwell on why I’m such a schlub, let’s talk about comic book writers!

Good money if you can get it

I’ve written before that the No. 1 reason why I read comics are the characters. I love following the adventures of my favorite superheroes, and will read my favorite characters even in a bad comic. But I’ve been a comic book geek long enough to learn and appreciate the business. And there are now creators I will follow because I love their work and want to read more. And considering my dream job, I guess these 6 guys and girls would be some of my idols.

Only One Week Until Grand Theft Auto 5!

And the folks at AVByte are celebrating in style!

More people need to write bombastic musical numbers about my favorite video games. I am eagerly anticipating GTA V. I’ve got my new X-Box 360, my big screen monitor, and I even took a day off from work to extend my weekend. Crazy, I know, but if I don’t use my personal days, I lose’em at the end of the year. Name something better to have used it on.

Pick on Riddick Day

The Riddick movies are an odd franchise. I’m fairly certain they are propelled solely by the will of Vin Diesel, possibly also by the wallet of Vin Diesel. Are there any hardcore Riddick fans out there? Or does he just desperately want a franchise/character to call his own?

He must be doing something right, because I believe Riddick was #1 at the box office this weekend. So that means it’s the perfect time for Cinema Sins to mock both previous movies!

Pitch Black:

Chronicles of Riddick:

And a good time was had by all. I’ve got nothing against Vin Diesel. I rather like the guy. Plus he’s a huge geek, and that’s always a plus in my book. What’s also a plus? Iron Giant.

Batman is the Knight of Awesome

A super artist named Mauricio Abril decided to up his awesome level by drawing/painting this epic Batman adventure.

Set to the tune of “Knights of Cydonia” by Muse, Batman just kicks a lot of butt in pure Batman style. I know that if I were an artist in any way whatsoever (besides wordsmith), I would totally do Batman art all the time. That makes life worth living.
