New Thor: The Dark World Trailer!

Hey gang, it’s a random Wednesday, so how about a new, full-length trailer for Thor: The Dark World?

I think the movie still looks pretty cool. I like the idea of Jane Foster being transported to Asgard, and it looked like Idris Elba gets to do more than just stand at the end of the Rainbow Bridge looking majestic.

And clearly the movie is playing up Loki as much as possible. People love Loki. When I went a panel for The Avengers movie at NYC Comic-Con before it came out, and a bunch of the actors were on stage taking questions, about 90% of the questions were for Tom HIddleston. People love Loki! So here’s hoping he has an awesome role to play in the new film.

No sign yet of Beta Ray Bill.

  1. I really hope that Beta Ray Bill and Hercules will show up in a Thor movie since they’re like… Thor’s to closest Allies outside of the Asgardians. But if they only make trilogies I doubt it will happen.

    • I both desperately want Beta Ray Bill to show up and don’t want him to show up. On the one hand, I love Beta Ray Bill with every fiber of my geeky soul. On the other hand, he might just be too crazy for people to understand. Either way, he might be perfect for a trilogy! They went ahead with War Machine, after all.

      • That’s true, But James Rhodes is already built into Tony Starks backstory. It would be easier if Balder or one of the Warriors Three were Beta Ray Bill. Which makes me wonder… where is Balder? He’s supposed to be the James Rhodes to Thor’s Iron Man. I imagine it would be hard to adapt a lot of Thor characters to film.

      • Huh…I never even thought about that. Where is Balder!?

      • I don’t know. They completely skipped over one of the major Thor characters.

      • Seems odd, but I suppose it makes sense. They wanted the movie to be about Thor, and they already had Odin, Heimdal and the Warriors Three as Asgardian supporting characters. There was no need for a bland, heroic, smiling best buddy.
