A Merry Whovian Christmas to You All

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas this year. The Mills family had another exceptional Christmas Blast. We tend to go big on Christmas, at least in terms of getting the whole family together, exchanging gifts for everybody and having a frollicking good time. I have to work today, so I didn’t get to stay home with my folks Christmas night, instead driving back to my apartment to sleep. But that was cool too, because I watched the annual Doctor Who Christmas special with my girlfriend!

I know I’ve got some Whovians reading my blog. What did everybody think of ‘The Snowmen’? I thought it was quite awesome. Seeing the Doctor all depressed and mopey was fun, especially the gradual coming out of his shell. I also loved his Victorian Era costume. New companion Clara seems to be quite fun and very quirky, which always makes for a good companion. Though she does seem to have some mystery about her. The villains weren’t all that troublesome or memorable (although one review I read mentioned that the Great Intelligence was a Doctor Who villain decades ago, and that they might be reviving them for the 50th anniversary. That would be neat!) I really loved the guest appearances by Vastra, Jenny and Strax. They would be awesome as reoccurring characters.

So yeah, Christmas fun all around! The List of Six is going to be a little late this week. But don’t worry, I’ll get around to it. And otherwise, I just wanted to share with everyone this preview of the second half of Doctor Who Season 7.

Don’t watch if you haven’t yet watched the Christmas Special!

Looks like fun!

  1. I loved it; it honestly felt like proper Doctor Who again! Matt has been brilliant in all his episodes, but this one really took me back to the early eighties!

    • I’m definitely looking forward to more. I was disappointed in the first half of season 7. I’m hoping they get back to more ongoing stories and adventures instead of those cheap, done-in-one tales.
