Let’s Celebrate Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network has gotten me through some tough times, times when I didn’t have cartoons in my life. So come celebrate their 20th anniversary! I’m especially fond of Adventure Time these days.

Hello, this is Sean, the Henchman-4-Hire! By day I am a mild-mannered newspaper reporter in Central New York, and by the rest of the day I'm a pretty big geek when it comes to video games, comic books, movies, cartoons and more.

  1. That was A: Too trippy. And B: Needed Yogi Bear. (or someone from that cartoon world i.e. Huckleberry Hound, Top Cat, etc.)

Flintstones, Jetsons, and Scooby Doo don’t cover it. My earliest memories of cartoon network are of watching the old Hanna Barbera era cartoons. Laff-A-Lympics being chief among them. Especially that first summer when Cartoon Network became “basic” cable instead of “premium” cable.

I do understand the preferential treatment for Cartoon Network originals, so I don’t begrudge the video. I’m just saying Cartoon Network’s history means a certain thing to me.
