An Animal Man Cartoon is Now a Thing

I’ve cheered the DC Nation animation block on Cartoon Network several times before, and now I’m here to do it again! A tiny snippet of a preview of an Animal Man animated short has hit the web, and it’s just as delightful as the Super Best Friends Forever clips! If not moreso. The ‘theme music’ for Animal Man just squeals “turn me into a full time show immediately!”

    Animal Man is the best DC series right now (along with Blue Beetle). The detail I enjoy more of this comic is the homelike atmosphere: I can’t tell you why, but it reminds me of Daria, an MTV cartoon I was deeply in love with when I was younger. And the decision of setting this series in a small town, instead of choosing a metropolis, is another detail that pushes Animal Man near to Daria (and to indie comics as well, since this is their typical setting – I bet this is not a coincidence).
