The Hobbit That Could Have Been!
What if The Hobbit was only one film instead of being stretched out to three? Behold!
Created by potential genius Joel Walden, that trailer kind of makes my week! He calls it The Hobbit: The Complete Journey, intended to showcase a trailer as if it were just a single film. Though now that I think about it, this could also serve as a trailer for the whole trilogy. Huh.
Either way, I’m excited to see the final film next week! At the very least, it’ll be over.
Full Trailer for the Final Hobbit Movie: The Battle of the Five Armies
Eh. I can’t say as how I’m all that enthused about The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. I suppose I’ve enjoyed the last two movies, and I’ll definitely see this one in theaters, but I just don’t have any energy for the franchise anymore. There’s nothing new in this trailer, nothing we haven’t seen dozens of times before from this franchise. The Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer was full of new sights, sounds and insanities. The Battle of the Five Armies is just more Middle Earth characters looking drastic.
Still, I’ll definitely see it, and maybe even enjoy it. Though they didn’t even bother to really name all five of the armies in the trailer…
I Want to Stop Posting Trailers – But The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies!
I swear, this is hopefully the last post-Comic-Con trailer I add to my blog. I meant to do some writing, but there have just been so many good trailers! And this debut teaser for The Battle of the Five Armies is pretty sweet as well.
Looks pretty neat. I’ve mostly enjoyed The Hobbit movies so far. But they’ve been kind of long and laborious, especially on rewatch. That barrel scene in The Desolation of Smaug was a chore. And this trailer seems to indicate a similar scene with a carriage on an icy river? Let’s hope not. The trailer looks good and I’m sure I’ll enjoy the film!
Everything Wrong with the Desolation of Smaug!
Man, those Cinema Sins folks really didn’t like Desolation of Smaug. Personally, I rather enjoyed the film. I didn’t care for the ending being such an insane cliffhanger, but we’re already closing in on next December, so it won’t be long now before that cliffhanger just doesn’t matter anymore.
Did you hear they want to change the name of the final film to The Hobbit: Into the Fire? As opposed to The Hobbit: There and Back Again? ‘Into the Fire’ would be such a dumb name. ‘There and Back Again’ has such a fun, whimsical feel to it, which I think would better serve the franchise in the long run.
How Desolation of Smaug Should Have Ended
Considering that the ending to The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug was the worst part of the movie, I’m glad to see the How It Should Have Ended guys giving the film it’s full due.
Good times. Good times have been had by all. Personally, they didn’t even need to make multiple jokes here. The only one should have been that Desolation of Smaug should have ended anywhere other than where it did.
