Last Chance to Order Museum of the Uncanny!

Good news, everybody! The comic Kickstarter I’m currently a part of has hit its goal and will get published! The Museum of the Uncanny is a spooky comic anthology full of short stories about unique and creepy objects, written by a diverse team of up-and-coming comic creators from around the world! And I just happen to also have a story in the book!

Today is the last chance to order your copy. The book is happening, it will get published, the goal has been reached. Now we’re just raising additional money to try to squeeze a few extra stories into each one, so more bang for everybody’s buck!

If you were waiting for the last minute to order this book, that time is upon us. The campaign ends tomorrow morning and then production will wrap up and we’ll get the book to the printer and then out to everybody who ordered a copy.

My story is called “The Normal Quesadilla Maker That Definitely Can’t Talk,” which is about an ordinary, everyday quesadilla maker. I promise.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg for awesome, spooky stories you can get at The Museum of the Uncanny!

Step Into the Museum of the Uncanny!

The Kickstarter has launched for the Museum of the Uncanny comic book anthology! I have a short story in this anthology! So how cool would you be if you went to Kickstarter and pre-ordered the comic?! Very cool indeed. There are 8 short stories — with possibly more added via stretch goals — for the low low price of only $29 buckaroos. The stories are about unique and weird artifacts that someday find their way into the museum.

Museum of the Uncanny is produced by my friends at Very Big Comics. It’s me and my friends making our own comics, which has long been my dream and the driving force behind this very blog in the first place.

I’m doing it! I’m making comics!

My short story is called “The Normal Quesadilla That Definitely Can’t Talk,” and it’s about a quesadilla maker that probably can’t talk.

Take his word for it

The art is by Wren Rios, with lettering by Marina Leon. Fun team to work with! And I’m really proud of this story.

So yeah, if you’re in the mood to buy some new, indie comics and support some up and coming creators — like yours truly — head on over to Kickstarter and pre-order your copy today of Museum of the Uncanny!

I Have a Short Comic Coming Up in Museum of the Uncanny!

In my ongoing efforts to become a professional comic book writer, I’ve got another short story coming up! My short story will be part of the upcoming Museum of the Uncanny anthology from Very Big Comics, which is coming to Kickstarter early next month. Right now, we’re collecting advance sign-ups to be notified when the Kickstarter goes live. You don’t have to commit to buying the book at this point, it’s just sign ups for people interested.

So head on over to Kickstarter and click the button to be notified! The more people we get signed up, the better Kickstarter will treat us once the campaign gets going.

My story will be called The Normal Quesadilla Maker That Definitely Can’t Talk. I wrote the script, with artwork by Wren Rios and lettering by Marin.

The title is pretty self explanatory, I think. But here’s the quick blurb I wrote for the piece:

“We assure you the quesadilla maker can’t talk. The manufacturer assures you the quesadilla maker can’t talk. The quesadilla maker itself will assure you it can’t talk.”

The whole anthology is going to be filled with similar stories of weird, funny and spooky objects all collected in the titular museum. I think it’s a neat idea for a comic anthology and I’m so excited that I got picked!

And I hope I can count on you fine readers to sign up for the campaign, and perhaps even order the anthology once the campaign goes live next month! Slowly but surely, I’m gonna keep getting comic stories published. I’m gonna be a contender!
