Clara and the Doctor

The very first ever official image of the Doctor and his new companion Clara has hit the Internet, and it’s…alright, I guess. Obviously it’s just a teaser with not much else going for it.

Gonna have to get used to seeing this

She’s pretty, but honestly, she’s a little too pretty. I don’t like my companions to be the cliched manic pixie dreamgirl. So hopefully Clara has something to set her apart as unique. And considering the people behind Doctor Who, I’m sure that will be the case. No doubt she’s got something special about her. Clara is played by Jenna Louise Coleman. New season starts…this fall? I dunno. Someday.

Mr. Rogers Raises the Bar a Little

They always say that true genius isn’t recognized in its time. Though I’m pretty sure that everybody knows that the late Mr. Rogers is awesome, PBS has apparently come up with an awesome new Mr. Rogers remix. He could live on as Youtube greatness!

The London 2012 Olympics Are a Hotspot of Doctor Activity

Did somebody say they want to see fresh Doctor Who material before the next season starts in a few months? Well then check out this brief video about the 11th Doctor helping out an Olympic torch-runner in the London 2012 Olympics. It was written by the students of the Ashdene School in Cheshire, England as part of a “Script to Screen” competition hosted by the BBC kids show Blue Peter. Because I guess that kind of thing happens in England. Either way, it’s a fun new bit with the Doctor and Amy Pond.

Though as any fan will tell you, we already know that the 10th Doctor is already at the scene of the London 2012 Olympics, and in fact he will eventually be the one to carry the torch the final leg of its journey to start the games.

Because that’s how time travel works.

My 6 Favorite Characters from Lost

I’ve wanted to write something about the television show Lost for awhile now, but considering it’s been more than two years since the show went off the air, there haven’t been many opportunities. But I absolutely loved Lost, and would willingly argue it as the best television show of all time. If not one of the best fictional narratives of all time. Lost was pretty damn awesome, is what I’m trying to say. I loved almost every minute of that show, even the episodes that sucked like the one about Jack’s tattoos. And I don’t care what the rest of the world says, I absolutely adored the finale. It was amazing from start to finish, and a perfect conclusion to the show.

It’s safe to say that I am definitely a Lost fanboy. A buddy of mine from work and I would hang out and just talk about our different theories for the show, and clearly we were not alone. Everybody was talking about Lost, and rightly so. The mysteries of that island were just fantastic.

Great idea for a parody title: “Found”. What do you think?

A good idea would have been to list my favorite episodes, but that would require rewatching the entire series from start to finish, and I haven’t gotten around to doing that yet. I’ll watch it again one of these days, and it will be epic. So until then, I’ve decided to list my 6 favorite Lost characters. It’ll give me a chance to talk about some of my favorite parts of the show. Plus it’ll hopefully be another chance for my readers to share some of their favorite Lost memories and characters. This was a science fiction show of epic proportions, so I hope some of you were fans as well. Let’s get to the list, shall we?

WARNING!! There will be SPOILERS for Lost in this list. So don’t read if you don’t want to be spoiled for a long cancelled TV show.

Another Day, Another Green ‘Arrow’ Trailer!

This is a full trailer, whereas the last video I shared was more of an actual clip. This trailer has scenes from throughout the show, and explain the story more in depth. I gotta say, I’m definitely still liking the look and feel of this show. Though I hope you all don’t mind if I just keep calling him ‘Green Arrow’ instead of just ‘Arrow’, because I am not a corporate hack who doesn’t understand how this sort of thing works.

And considering how rare it is to get a live action superhero TV show – which is surprising, considering The Avengers movie has made a BAJILLION DOLLARS – I figure I’ll try and give this show as much coverage as possible. So stay tuned!
