The Mother-badwording Pterodactyl!

I love The Oatmeal. Not the food product, no sir. But the Internet artist and comedian. The man is sheer brilliance. If you don’t already frequently read The Oatmeal, then what the heck are you doing here? Go! Go and enjoy! There is so much fun to be had!

What’s that, Internet? You’ve someone spawned a music video version of The Oatmeal’s Pterodactyl comic? And it’s so mind-blowingly insane that you can barely contain yourself? Don’t worry, Internet, I’m here to save you! We’ll get all my friends and readers to watch this brilliant song, and spreading the joy will make it easier!

Watch, my friends. Watch and be one with awesome.

I think that deserves a Hell Yeah!

Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman Ain’t the Only Superheroes in Town

Who knew superheroes could be so self-conscious? But even the likes of Aquaman and Plastic Man deserve some time in the spotlight, right? Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman just hog it all. They’re not Super Friends at all, more like Super Jerks! This MAD cartoon parody is simply splendiforous! The superheroes of the DC Universe can really put on a good song and dance when they’re properly motivated.

Mr. Freeze: The Musical

The genius of the Internet strikes again with a musical based on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s performance as Mr. Freeze, in what has collectively been decided is the worst movie of all time: Batman and Robin. That movie exists now to be mocked, and the brilliance of Legolambs have stepped up. They are the same people who made Mario: The 8-Bit Opera and Conan: The Musical.

Listen and be happy that such people exist.

There Are More Giant Little Girls in Mass Effect Than I Remember

The glory that is Tobuscus is back with a Literal interpretation of the Mass Effect 3 trailer. You may remember him from that Literal Lord of the Rings trailer that I posted and loved? Well I love this one just as much! I may now spend my entire afternoon watching Tobuscus Literal trailers.

Also, I plan to get Mass Effect 3 one of these days…

Tales from a Dinosaur Planet

If there is a better theory about the extinction of the dinosaurs than ‘they blasted off in a rocketship to explore the stars’, then I don’t want to hear it. Some may say that the massive crater in the southwest was the result of an asteroid hitting Earth. But the band MJ Hibbert & The Validators believe it’s ground zero for launching the greatest rocketship in the history of the universe!

But now the dinosaurs are back! And you’ll have to listen to this rock opera to hear the whole story!

Mostly I just like the sound and the concept, but I guess these guys are coming out with a whole album to explain the secret history of the dinosaurs and why they talk like pirates. I’m far too cheap to actually buy the album, but it’s a wonderfully novel idea for music so I thought I’d share. Perhaps it’s your cup of tea. You can follow the link above to download or order the album.

I say go for it. There is worse music out there.
