I Have an Addiction to ‘Dumb Ways to Die’

The video that started it all is pretty great, and it’s spawning a lot of fun parodies! Here’s one that lines up nicely with my own interests.

The tune, the fun, the frivolity, it makes for a great video and for great parodies as well. And I’m just going to keep posting the good ones that I find. And you can’t stop me! There’s no rehab for this. There’s just me and my fix. This one was brought to us by Mega Steak Man.

PBS and LeVar Burton Blow Your Mind with Books

PBS has got this awesome viral video thing down pat.

Seriously, these videos are amazing. There’s also the Mr. Rogers song and the Bob Ross song. I think this is the one and only time that auto-tune has done something good for the world. I can’t wait for the next one.

Cool Things to Find, A Parody

If only all parody videos were this catchy. It’s a parody of ‘Dumb Ways to Die’.

I love the art, I love the song; taking the ‘Dumb Ways to Die‘ video and making new version is just good Interneting. It’s also a little odd that this seems to be a legitimate video in its own right, like an ad for the Mars Curiosity Rover. This is a great way to celebrate and cherish Curiosity for all of its alien exploration. Speaking of which, has Curiosity found aliens on Mars yet? That’s why we set it up there, right?

The video was produced by Cinesaurus, which scores points for making their name sound like a dinosaur.

Literal Iron Man 3 Trailer

Tobuscus is at it again with a Literal Iron Man 3 trailer! His videos have become some of the favorite music parodies I’ve ever posted on my blog!

Is that man a genius or what? I don’t know how well his songs actually match up to the music in the trailers, but I have to assume it’s good. He’s a lyrical master. I wish he produced more of these more often, I’d post every single one. Plus, this somehow gets me even more excited for Iron Man 3! So that’s pretty neat.

So Many Dumb Ways To Die

If you work for the railroad and want to stop idiots from playing on the rails, what do you do? If you’re in Australia, you apparently win the Internet.

Is that not the most adorable and gruesome thing you’ve seen all year? It’s good to know that the magic and power of the Internet can be used for educational purposes. The video was created by the Melbourne Metro Trains, with a song by Tangerine Kitty. You can even enjoy it in gif form!

And please, people, stay off the tracks. And don’t drink super glue.
